It's funny how some music can be so much better when not playing the game at the same time. All the distractions have gone and you can truly appreciate the piece.

A shame that they did not provide more developing for this game for it could really need some expanding.

Ha, I just linked this video in ZeldaMaster2010's Twitch Tv Stream after I called it a "2D Minecraft" and just now saw that you called it too.
Terraria is fun. Everyone should get it because its cheap as shit.
Minecraft and Terraria aren't meant to be or are rivals. Minecraft provides a better sandbox experience while Terraria is a more action/quest based game. Tbh, I don't build in Terraria except for the mandatory home and shelter for my NPC's, an infinite obsidian, and a boss platform. Unlike the comment below I don't see Terraria as a game that allows players to build anything they can think of, and the game runs short of playability after beating all of the hardmode bosses.
Certainly a great rival to Minecraft imo. While the exploration isn't necessarily as deep, it offers a little more 'game' than 'sandbox' for those of us looking for something a little more exciting, while still allowing us the freedom to build anything within the bounds of our imagination.
I played this game alot when I was starting to get to know to a special person in my life. Funny how this music brings all those memories back to my mind. Thanks for uploading
In the Devember 1st update (1.1), they added 2 variations of this track (and all other biome tracks) for the Hallowed and Corrupted areas, which are even cooler.
this song started playing and i looked up and said "terraria?" didnt expect music from terraria in this list! havent played this game for a few updates but played it almost nonstop when i first got it. very addicting and more polished than minecraft.
This song can really get annoying after a while... I like the night song a lot more.
is this game really that good? ive been thinking about buying it, but just watching trailers havent convinced me
@MHPL01 Notch admitted on his twitter he was quite enjoying Terraria, actually. And while in a way it being a 2D clone seems fair, there's far more exploration, combat, and discovery to be had in Terraria - while the actual 'crafting' part is more Minecraft's strength. In practice, they feel like two very different games.

@AsaLothario did you now the maker of this game, made a fan made Mario game called SMBX . He spended so much time on it , and i think he is a real Mario fan. Thats why the music and the GFX are mario like :D
Terraria's soundtrack truly is amazing. I like the main overworld theme myself as it mildly reminds me of Mario Galaxy.

Overall the soundtrack is really good, but the problem is that there's only like 4 or 5 songs, and they get boring pretty quick considering you'll spend large amounts of time in one zone.
having played both games to death i can honestly say that i personally enjoy terraria for more than minecraft, mainly because it has deeper gameplay and more of a sense of achievement as well as it is more action packed.... dont get me wrong, i love minecraft too but its so hard to get back into that game post terraria... that and it gives me a super headache after playing it for so long

Im so sick of this song! lol love this game.
I got Terraria during the summer sale, and it's crazy addicting. I just can't stop playing it in my freetime. The music in this game is great, too, but not very diverse. There's maybe 5-6 total songs, which do switch up depending on the situation, but they are reused. If they added a few more songs, the game would be perfect.
This and the song that plays during a blood moon really remind me of the music in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.

The bad thing about putting up a Terraria movie in youtube is the tons of bots swarming to the videos to give good viral comments XD None-the-less, this game is more RPGish and it has its quirks, judge it only after you've played it. Either you love it or you hate it.

Terraria > Minecraft.
It's not really a 2D minecraft, it's far more RPG and Adventurish than Minecraft. I still like both though.
It's really not a bad game, especially if you can manage to get a non-laggy server and gather a team of 4 people dedicated to that server. Interesting music, wonderful 2D graphics, continuing updates and content, and expansive worlds all come together to make the game worth the $10 it costs.
@SupraDarky hey man if you havent got id already id love to send you terraria as a gift over steam because you really shouldnt miss it if possible in any way :) (i am to stupid to find the private message button :P)
My friend gifted me this game, and that's how I got into Steam. It was right before the summer sale, so I lucked out! Also the new youtube video HUD/buttons look nice.
Yeah, the upgrades of the game are great. But with some updates, you have to start a new world to get some of the updates.
@SupraDarky The Underground Jungle theme is even better, believe me. The whole music and the game itself are great too.
definately a unique game. its just kind of a platformer/rpg with totally tanked out features. what i mean by that is that there is just endless things to find in terraria. awesome!

A sort of 2D Minecraft, it's very popular on Steam. I didn't play it myself because of my crazy backlog, but it definitely looks cool. I took a listen to the soundtrack and this one immediately stood out, a pretty unique 8-bit style theme.
