Parts of this song sound straight up ripped out of another game. to which one is the thief i cant figure, or maybe its a same composer who re used peices of other tracks they made in another game. im thinking chrono trigger. i just cant for the life of me recall what song

It reminds me of the Irish or Scottish Knight/Swordsman from Samurai Jack.
They made a sequel called ClaDun X2, with much more content. It's for the PSP
the music is great and very Falcom ish
Weird to see a Nippon Ichi title without their trademark composer, Tenpei Sato, even if the game's not quite like the ones Sato has been composing for.

@diamondlancer well, fair enough; i guess. I mean even the last couple of games made in some of my favorite series were portable (FFT, KH, SMT) It's probably because the only place where the market for RPG games is big enough would be asian countries. while western countries have a smaller Console RPG market. So they pretty much made handhelds the consoles for jRPG's.

This is good music, this is the kind of music that by itself makes someone want to play a game.
@PrincipleButtsavich This is what kept me from playing Chrono Trigger for the longest time for the PSX. By the time i was actually able to play it with better load times on DS I ended up just seeing it beaten for me on speed demos.
@radicalgarbage02 I think there is lot to like about this. It's got a celtic folk vibe, such as a traditional RPG town might have. But it goes about that and makes it rock. Hard. I'd like to hear a more filled out remix though.

Wow, I just looked up this game and I have to play it! In addition to the top notch music, you can customize EVERYTHING about the game! I like the sound of that!

Is it just me or does the font look just like 3D Dot Game Heroes? Also, damn it Supra, I JUST added 953 to my ipod telling myself that was it for awhile, and then you go and upload this...sounds like 8 Bit Irish Rock and I love it.
@SupraDarky The loading is still pretty bad, but at least forgivable once installed. But before? Yeah, it'd be whole 2-5 minutes between every screen. About 2 minutes max once instaleld and that's only if it's having a rough time loading up the next area. Beware Ventus' musical ice cream game. When you play that, that song will get stuck in your head...for all the wrong reasons...

A retro style dungeon crawler which seems to have been nicely reviewed. I haven't played it myself but being an RPG fan I'll probably get to it at some point in my life. One thing's for sure, the music is solid. Speaking of the PSP, I tried playing Kingdom Hearts BBS but the loading times are atrocious without using the install option in the menu screen, so I'll go buy a Memory Stick this weekend since I never had to use one until now.
So it's been 8 years. Have you played Cladun yet?
