@SamuraiSonic If it's a smooth curve throughout, how can that be a problem? It feels so rewarding to beat the later stages, and look badass. Also, I wouldn't count the warp zones, since they're bonus stages, and it makes sense.

@SupraDarky I agree with dx619hey, the difficulty curve never jumps bar a few warp zones (I'm looking at you World 5 secret character). The problem with the difficulty curve is that it doesn't seem to know when to stop. =P Completing the game is difficult, but definitely possible. Getting 100% however...
Nothing beats "Hot Damned" imo

"Betus Blues" tops my list, as does "Rocket Rider." Definitely suggest you check them out.
Not a bad song but I think Hell's levels music is the best.
@SupraDarky The difficulty progresses smoothly, never really spiking unexpectedly. It's a doable hard game, and designed very well.
Second best track in the game (Salt Factory's dark world beats it.) The Salt Factory in general is, like, the epitome of this game.

I've beaten almost everything except the kid, most of cotton valley and the ends glitched stage. I lost all my data though so i don't play it much now.
Danny B. makes some awesome VGM.

@SupraDarky You'd be surprised. Every level has that impossible feel. Then you get to it and it is. But you keep playing because it's fun. And later on at the third level you realize "Oh wait a second, I beat that level before?! When did that happen?" It's just good old fashioned fun and nothing else.
In my opinion, there are plenty of songs better than this one in Super Meat Boy, such as both of The Hospital worlds. That's just me though. You ought to play this game SupraDarky. It's tough, but it's forgiving in the sense that there is no penalty for losing or even time to mourn the death as you're respawned a second later.
This song is awesome but the whole level is just freakin crazy! Great stuff.

Hells yeah, loved this entire game. The music really pumps you up. 100%ing it on a keyboard was a lot more fun because of these catchy themes.

@insanetrickster This is one of the best games this generation!!! Possibly the best XBLA game out there. I know this mind sound a bit cliche but you have to give it a try before talking about the gameplay, especially if you like challenges.

Never got into it, mostly because instead of fun level design it's all about dodging buzzsaws. Other people seem to love it, and more power to them. I just didn't care for it.
One of the best games I played this year. Super challenging, but not unfair.
I watched a friend play this not so much for the gameplay as for the music.
I have this game on Steam but I have yet to play it. My backlog is pretty crazy, but I should get to it soonish as it's been greatly reviewed by the press and the players. I saw some bonus levels I think to unlock other characters and they seemed almost impossible to beat. I'm not sure I'll be able to go through those !
