The first big 3D world game for the PlayStation, as a counter attack to Mario 64. Sometimes competition is great.

Who remembers this specifically because they played the demo on crash? Good times... well, this and the skateboard demo!
Sheesh, I completed 100% on all of the skateboard tracks. So much fun. x)
the first three spyro games always stick out to me as having some of the best OSTs of any game on the playstation... especially when you consider non-RPGs... the original had the best music in my opinion, you should check it out of you have a chance =]

There's rumors going around that there's coming a new Spyro game this year. I do hope it will live up the quality of this game.

YES! 2 absolute classics in a row. I loved the old Spyro games, but I think they got worse when they started changing things too much. They could literally release the same game 100 times with new levels and challenges and I'd still buy it.
I've recently replayed all three of them, they trully are gems.
when I first played this level, I thought "hey Hawaii would be a nice place to live" Little did I know that about 6 years later I'm living in Hawaii, still playing this game!

Hahaha I used to love Spyro games for the ps1. I have one right next to me in the pile holding my router up (Im being serious :P)
Omg another one of my childhood games... The very best ever. Really. This was the song playing during my fustrations during boss levels. At the end I ended up raging and powering up the fire off spyro <3

@ShadowMario64 THISSSS, god. i have been waiting for so long, Insomniac. this was the last good spyro game. Not that i'm a TOTAL hater to what Spyro is now, but none of the newer games can compare to the original 3... Anyway, thanks Supra for finally including a Spyro track! :D Spyro 1 was the first PSX game I ever had, and I played the hell out of that trilogy...

@SupraDarky - cheers for posting this! It seems like a lifetime ago I was sitting carefree at home charging through gormless enemies in Spyro. All the clichés run true (you know, the stuff about older games being much better than the modern era). My answer to the question "why?" would be that games were made for those who played them, not those who financed them. Keep posting the tunes, you're doing us all a great service :)
If they never make another spyro game, at least bring him back for the next smash brothers game

Out of all gamefranchises, Spyro is the most ruined one. Even more ruined than Sonic was before Sonic 4! It's nothing left of the 3 classics that made the series famous! But thanks for reviving great memories from my childhood ;) RIP Spyro The Dragon, we'll miss you...
Oh wow, first Spyro track? I've always thought this series had phenomenal music. The first game has some really memorably tracks.

I got spyro 2 with my ps1, played it, loved it, beat it 100% when i was 10. Then i got spyro 3, loved it even more, beat it 117% (:O). Then i got spyro 1, still beat it 100%, still loved it, even though it was the worse of one i have played so far. Then i got spyro: a heros tail, *deep breath* NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
The first game I ever bought by myself was Spyro: enter the dragonfly. It wasn't insom, but I think it was good.

Seems like the only two platforming series that have any juice left in them these days are Super Mario and LittleBigPlanet.
I remember the good old days of Spyro 1-3. I wish they made games like that again, complete with this kind of music.

It's too bad I never had much patience playing original Spyro games, especially when the horrible camera and numerous minigame-like missions kicked in. xD But I never had problem with music...
I still haven't played Year of the Dragon. I only played Spyro 1 and 2 and loved them both.
What I said in the CB video applies just as well here, just replace Naughty Dog with Insomniac. Woo!
