Not sure which version this is...probably the arcade or OST version? Awesome though, haven't heard it outside of the SNES cart before!

That song is just one of the most badass theme for a fighting game.
To be fair, Microsoft didn't ruin Rare. The company was already crumbling internally when Nintendo sold their stake in it.

@SupraDarky Rare is always hinting and taunting that KI3 might be in the works. There are a few references in Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts. (crosses fingers)

I still rape face in this game. I play the snes version and can still throw out 23 hit combos on the regular, without doing the ultra til the end of course. Thank you emulators and bad ass 90's gaming!
I also love the fact that this has the music to character selection at the end. I never realized how badass it really is until just now.
@Ulysses1107 I was actually wondering about the music composers of the 2 games... I just saw on wiki that it was Robin Beanland too that did DKC. And yeah, nothing felt more satisfying than to hear a loud C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER!!! Good memories! hahaha
@pelletier1986 Yes, they were both made by Rare, and came out around the same time. This was a hella good fighting game too. Spawned the fast combos that are in just about every fighting game now.

@SupraDarky I was wondering if you'd ever put this song up. So many childhood memories come back when I hear this. This was the first game I ever played, and I loved it. My brothers use to take me to the Arcade to play it there before they bought it for SNES. Jago and Glacius were my mains, and I still remember all the combos to this day. Thanks Supra. I think its time I call my brothers for a "reunion" now. :D
The problem with a modern version of this game is that RARE will most likely develop it, and honestly, has anything good come out of RARE in the past 5-7 years? I can't think of anything, and anything that might exist is easily overshadowed by the tons of crap they tried to 'revive'.

@morgansss: It's Killer Cuts, the audio CD bundled with the first print of the SNES conversione of Killer Istict. I still own it, with is wonderful black cartridge. Great conversion and great game. Killer Instinct was the only european fighting game series that had worldwide success. It needs a sequel. I wonder if nowday rare it's still capable of such awensomness... I miss '90s rare :(

I remember playing this game at my grandmother`s a lot with my cousins. I always used Spinal (the skeleton right? I just can't remember anymore) and I'd spam his all out charge attack. My cousins had no idea how to counter it and I'd always win haha. Good times.

Those were the days: when they were called Rareware, and Microsoft were non-existent in consoles.

@SupraDarky ORCHID!! i remember learning a 32 hit combo when I was 10!! I loved cinder and orchid. the 64 version was the shit also!
since Microsoft owns the rights to this franchise they need to get Rare or some well known fighting game developer to make it, this was my personal favorite fighting game from back in the day, it combined the best aspects of Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat, had a sweet combo system, tons of moves, and excellent graphics for its time.
@VexylMusic Nintendo sadly doesn't own the rights to the KI franchise. Microsoft does after they purchased Rare in 2002 (or sometime around then).
@SupraDarky I know a lot of people who loved this game, including myself. So, it better get revived,\. Nintendo isn't very good at the serious stuff at the moment, but who knows. I absolutely love the keyboard work in this track.
I unfortunately missed this series and was five-years-old when the first game came out. Luckily, a video game rental store sold it to me for five dollars in 2007. I was one happy camper that night. I really wish Rare would return to their former glory. I loved Banjo Kazooie and DKC series the most.

Favorite character was Riptor XD. Whenever I'd do well I shout out "Supreme Riptory!"
A game that not only had revolutionary graphics and gameplay, the music was something out of this world, to think that something like this went into a SNES game is mind blowing.
I liked using Fulgore, Sabrewulf, Cinder, Tusk, and Maya.
Killer Instinct is great, in terms of both gameplay and music. I think my favorite theme is Glacious'.
I still have the SNES version! Lotsa good times with it in the past.
I went with the KI Cuts album version since it really sounds the best. I was a big fan of this series, I had the SNES, Gameboy and 64 versions. My favorite characters were Glacius and Spinal. I'm not sure if it will ever be possible, but I hope KI gets revived someday!
