Good memories. The game was a great test of my Japanese at the time I played it.
Usually I prefer the Project X Zone 2 version of NxC tracks, but both for this are fantastic.

The sequel, Project X Zone, on 3DS is a blast. At least that was released outside of Japan.

According to internet rumors, supposedly Namco thought not many people would play Namco X Capcom because of the fact that not many people in america would know most of the Namco side and the fact the gameplay is a little odd for the rest of the world.... Well I call that BS.

I like how the random SRPG gets to be Namco and Capcom, but the fighting games are stuck as JUST Street fighter and JUST Tekken. :|
@Honatuto OK, but that doesn't explain Canada or Europe or the rest of the world. Does Namco hate the whole planet and think Japan is all superior to everyone? And this is somehow their present to Japan for supposedly being better than everyone else?

I like this music, and I wish they would bring this game over, either in hard copy or digital download, as I think this game would be VERY well received. I see many people posting that it's because they think it wouldn't do well or they just hate America. I think the real reason is because of legals. There might be some copyright issues involved that they might not want to deal with, since our society is so litigious and will sue for just about anything.
SD, you should upload the music for the intro to this game, it's not only the best part of the soundtrack, it's also my favorite VGM of all time.
@Arc13 - The answer is simple - Namco has something against America. It's the only way explanation I can think of.
They should make a HD version of this game and release it on PSN. That would be awesome! ^___^
I wonder, Tatsunoko VS Capcom was almost declined because of the Japan to World transfer, but it had massive fan reception so it got transferred. This has massive fan reception, yet still nothing. And at least Namco is already a world wide company unlike Tatsunoko whom is almost solely Japan, so what gives? This game would be great to be released!
This was supposed to actually be pretty awesome, with the only real issue of the game being from the fact that it can take a really long time to play (a good hour or more on a single stage without saving). I still want to get myself a swap magic someday and a copy of this game.
I like Captain Commando's theme in this game. It makes me wonder why Capcom hasn't done a non-techno remix/remaster of it yet.
Played a translated version of this game a while back. It's pretty good, but it gets very repetitive.
I've played Tetsuonoko vs. Capcom and enjoyed it. Can't imagine this would be bad either.

I never played this game since it's only been released in Japan. I don't know if it's a good game, but the idea of having an RPG with tons of Namco and Capcom characters was interesting. The music for this game was composed by the good old Yuzo Koshiro.
