It works surprisingly well, at least along with the various chirps and roars of all the wildlife in this level.

This reminds me so much of a song from Secret of Mana. It's the techno sounding one, which plays in certain futuristic dungeons, and definitely when you meet/fight those guys that drill up underneath Gaia's Navel into the dwarf city late in the game.

Actually RARE was the ones who ditched the no legs, Nintendo could bring them back if they make another Starfox game. I actually like that idea, it makes the starfox world a lot more fleshed out.

Those sound effects in the background for the first 15 seconds sound like the ones used in the End of the World songs in Sonic 06.
I love StarFox, shame the series is in a bit of a mess. I really enjoyed StarFox DS despite it's negative reception. Sure, it took a while getting used to the turn-based strategy layout but it was the same layout planned for StarFox II (Unreleased). Assault was alright, though there were many lame parts. Interesting fact: None of the StarFox crew have legs! They have metal prosthetic limbs due to Arwing speed causing blood clots. (Don't believe me? Look at Fox's legs on the boxart!)

It's funny how the composers managed it, but this song is both catchy, humorous, deep and memorable. This would work so well in so many scenarios. The deep echo-like instrument gives it depth while the supporting tune provides the potential lulz. Kudos to the composers.
This music would remind anybody of Sonic the Hedgehog. :P

@SupraDarky I played the DS one and really enjoyed it (as well as the classic and 64 ones). There aren't the classic on-rails type missions but the overarching Turn-based strategy was fun. Also, getting to play as different pilots with widely varying abilities was fun.
@diamondlancer It certainly is hard to imagine, I played thru this a few times and its out of place to me. Although the music is definitely jammin!

@TheEvalButterfree I agree. I just think in the original Star Fox's case, the 3D rendering is hilariously realistic, almost creepy.
@Clymaxx old games couldent have 3d graphics so they put imagination into the cover art...but they always looked like it was the cover for the wrong game hell even half of the modern game covers are a close up of the main char...even though you never see them in such high graphics

I couldn't possibly understand why Nintendo never added to the franchise with Wii. It seems to me to be one of their more successful newer franchises... and a Star Fox game on Wii could be seriously awesome. They revived DKC and Punch Out... they should consider this one, as well.

I don't even remember this theme in the game but to be fair I haven't played Star Fox in years. Sounds like it would fit right into a 16-bit Sonic game though.
A funky theme from Star Fox. I really liked this game, the one on N64 and Adventures. I didn't like Assault and never played the DS game though. A Star Fox on Wii could really work though with the wiimote, but it looks like we won't be getting that. We'll have to look forward to the 3DS remake of SF64 I guess.
