This was one of the first games I played on PSone that fully utilised the Dual Shock controller to max effect. Before this game I never even realised the L3 and R3 analogue clicks were actually buttons! Amazing platformer, get some more themes up!
I'm surprised, this is one of THE highest selling and most successful game series ever, yet I've not only never touched a single one, but I never really hear anyone talk about it in person, online, anywhere. Almost like it's taboo. ,:(

@SupraDarky oh ape did have other ver about 3 more for ps2 and then it ended...what a great game to bad it ended oh well aleast we can still play the game

I liked 1 for it's expansiveness and challenge. Never played 2, played 3 and LOVED it. The costumes and the themes of the areas were so cool, I only wish it was as big as 1.

You should check out the sequels supra. very underrated games IMO
This game's demo is actually one of the first thing I played on the PS1, if not the first. I really enjoyed it at the time but it took me quite a while to actually play the full game. I'm not sure if the sequels are good as well, for some reason it's like I've barely heard of them. Ape Escape has some pretty unique music going and this simple theme is the one that got into my head first, that little whistling melody and the water droplet sounds. Quite relaxing.
