I believe "The Last Gunfight" that you pointed out was the one that really shocked me in its lack of originality. I mean it's absolutely okay to use this kind of inspiration but there are better ways. For example Rude Kostry, who composed the soundtrack for Vietcong 2, did a great job with that one. Every song in VC2 is named after a certain 60's or 70's rock band and the pieces imitate the style of those bands very well but still they don't sound like copys of certain popular songs.
The soundtrack is good for a video game but in my eyes the composer kinda failed. He wasn't just inspired by Morricone's music, some of the tracks sound almost like shameless ripoffs of certain pieces by Morricone. I won't dare composing music that is so similar to my source of inspiration and then put my name on it.

Yeah... right... Clint Eastwood... and it wasn't Ennio Morricone who composed the music for Sergio Leone's movies, it was also Clint Eastwood! And it wasn't John Williams who composed the Star Wars soundtracks, it was fucking Clint Eastwood! And who the fuck is Hans Zimmer? It was fucking Clint Eastwood who composed the soundtracks for Gladiator and Pirates of the Caribbean! As a matter of fact Clint Eastwood is the mastermind behind all soundtracks ever written! You are a genius.

This is absolutely astounding. The part with the vocals reminds me of the scene in Once Upon a Time in the West where Jill mourns the death of her new family. The electric guitar at 3:14 vividly illustrates a confrontation between the three leads of TGBU, though different from the one at the end of the movie. Everything else is just beautiful, especially when the horn comes in. God. This is why I am subscribed to you Supra. Keep it up.

@bloodphantom2 i think outlaws is the best western game out there because of its orginality my friend, the music is 100 times better then red dead's automatically ;)

@tttc It's more of a spiritual successor. Though there is one scene in Redemption that makes a subtle reference to Revolver.

@Chrono1020 I have the game, and I loved games that was damn interesting. However, I never could finish it, I never got drawn into it like GUN, and my interest plummeted severly. Graphically it's amazing, storywise it's quite decent, but there's alot of holes in it imo.
Remember i played this years ago. The soundtrack is so amazing, just creates this mood that follows you throughout the game. So many good tracks in this game, hard to pick out the best really.

that was a fun game. and this is a beautiful track and yeah, listening to it really makes me wanna watch a spaghetti western. then again, i'm always in the mood for those movies.
Clint Eastwood wrote this soundtrack. Not Clint Bajakian. Also, it abruptly stops at :50 for me :(.
This soundtrack is an absolute gem in its entirety. If you like Morricone, if you like Westerns, you must hear this!

Clint Bajakian composed a great soundtrack for this game. Everytime I listen to this song I feel like watching a classic western spaghetti. They don't really make westerns anymore now that I think about it.
