I remember the first time I finished this and beat it. When I heard this song at the end. I don’t know what’s about it but the song just went so perfect with me beating the game, I couldn’t help but cry 😭 Trust me guys, no other game today will even come close to this.
Best video game ever made hands down. I still have fun today playing it on my SNES :D

I live in America but my dad went to europe one time and got me a SNES from there with some games when I was growing up in the 90s. This game was included with the other 2...God...I miss my childhood, and this game..

I grew up in the 90s with a SNES pal even though I live in the States but my dad went to europe one time and got me a SNES from there with Link to the Past, Mario Kart, and Terranigma.....Let me just say it's my favorite game of all time...I wanna go back to my childhood and play it again...
The first 8 seconds of this song and the first couple seconds of Matataki village from dark cloud are scarily similar.

Was this game related to The Illusion of Gaia, like a prequel or a sequel? I mean both games were developed by Enix and have a kind of similar plot.
@Owari Dragon They are part of the same "Gaia" trilogy. The first being "Soul Blazer", second being "Illusion of Gaia", and the third being Terranigma.
They were developed by quintet. Enix just published them.

@MrRizo23 Greetings from the future! Terranigma was composed by Miyoko Takaoka and Masanori Hikichi. Masanori Hikichi didn't do much beyond Terranigma, but Miyoko Takaoka seems to be the main composer for the Atelier and Langrisser series.

If this game got better exposure and perhaps a slightly better English localization, it would be an undying classic in NA (I think anyway). Just beat it, and utterly floored.

I bought this game off eBay for $40 about a year ago. Absolutely fantastic game, there's very little to fault.

People often ask "What is beauty?" I'd say this track is beauty!
Well, it helps if you realize that the universe of the Soul Blazer series is broken up into four perspectives: Gaia, Dark Gaia, the everyday people living in the world, and the spirits watching over everything. So Soul Blazer is the universe from Gaia's perspective, Illusion of Gaia is the universe from the people's perspective, Terranigma is the universe from Dark Gaia's perspective, and The Granstream Saga is the universe from the spirits' perspective.
He he, I'd pay money, too, for a movie that captures the epic moments of the games and the small but really touching ones as well. :)

This series of games (Soul Blazer, Illusion of Gaia, Terranigma, and The Granstream Saga) is probably the only one that gets me emotionally. I'd pay good money to see these games turned into a manga or anime, with that same sorrowful, serene timbre kept in them.

@darkmidna: Not only that, it's very melancholic and it increases once after you've played through the game. When I hear the melody it always reminds of the very last day in Crysta.

I did read through an online guide at the time, I don't know if it was from gamefaqs or what but I either missed the part about the wood or they didn't have it. Anyway, several years ago...

Ah... thank you. Unfortunately it has been at least 4 years since I last played it and I don't know if I still have the save state for it on my pc. I never would have figured that out.
It's probably "The Great Lake". You have to collect 10x wood in the northern forest by defeating wooden enemys and then just have a talk with the guy standing next to the river, where the brigde is about to be build.
I don't understand why this was only released in Europe?! I first played this as ROM. I got stuck at one point where I had to cross a river with no bridge going across it. I couldn't figure out how to get across. :( The music and graphics were top notch. This tune right here is very nice and peaceful. Another good choice! ;)
