OMG! Now this brings back memories... I played this so many times as a kid, but could never figure out what to do shortly after the dolphin segment, so never actually finished it. I should go back and do so, now that I learned the secret...
I'm I the only one who think this beat sound like a Konami game such as The Goonies 2?
Favorite song when I was a kid. Happiness and wild danger at the same time. Still love all the emotion this song imparts.
Love this game. Notice I said love. Some of the puzzles are pretty tricky, and I like the constant new spells you learn in this game. Nice save system too.

I felt this was much more than a Zelda clone. Crystalis had a much heavier focus on the RPG elements, which I enjoyed. I also thought the abilities were a lot more powerful and fun to use in this game. The towns, enemies and puzzles really captured my imagination as a kid.
Ha i used to watch my Mother played this game when i was younger to.
My mom bought me this game in 1990. =( She died in 2001. So I am pretty attached to this game to this day.

This game is awesome. A zelda clone in which you could jump. The intro also says that the world ends in October 1997. I think I played it on that day. Rode the dolphin, jumped using the rabbit boots, and charged to 4th level with the thunder sword. Too bad lvl 16 was the max you could get.

I think this is one of the most underrated games out there. I remember when I played it for the first time, I shouted "SO UPBEAT!" every time pretty much any new theme started playing.
I still have this cartridge lying somewhere in my house. May have to boot it up again.

Playing it right now, it's pretty great. The only problem is that I don't know how to save... Also, this has to be the only purple main character of an RPG.

I had pretty good fun with this Zelda clone as a kid and this little melody easily gets stuck in your head.
