Can't say I ever expected a Sonic song to use a sample from a Malcolm X speech. Incidentally, this speech, "A Message to the Grassroots", has been sampled a few times such as in the beginning of "Cult of Personality" by Living Colour. Interesting factoids.

I should really go back and play this again sometime. This was my first Sonic game, and I loved it to bits.

The funniest part is that this song isn't even the best on the soundtrack. "Raisin' Me" that played at the end was a real tear-jerker. It was really, really, good, it's a grievance it's not on this list =/.

Gets a thumbs up just for it being on the DS. To have a song like such coming from a handheld is awesome imo.

@mimi1235 Could've said it with abit more convincing effects. Mario is platform master with a theme of saving a princess. Sonic is a platform speed master, or was atleast, hope they take it back.

@Eval999 Sonic Underground, Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic X. They all are good in their ways. Better than the Mario Bros. Movie after all.

@Eval999 Sonic IS awesome, so is Mario, both are jump-'n-runners and both are popoular, deal with it. And there's one very important difference. They NEVER managed to do good anime (or whatever) of Mario =P I'm fan of both~

@Eval999 So Sonic is a ripoff of Mario because they're both platformers?? That's like saying God of war is a rip-off of Onimusha or Metroid is a rip-off or Megaman, or Soul Calibur copies Street Fighter, they're nothing alike, maybe the spin-off games though...
@gamewizl Yeah, speed is so unique....It's only been done on every single hero. Sonic is a ripoff of Mario, they added super speed and sub-par gameplay to disguise it.
@Eval999 Being fast is both unique and awesome - Mario had no super speed.
@greaterthan9000 Sonic is the worst hero I've ever seen. Sega takes mario, turns him blue, makes him uber fast and douchie with a high pitched voice and calls him a hedgehog. He completely rips off mario.

uh, Sonic doesn't go nude in super form, he's ALWAYS nude (actually in shoes), it's his character design, and Blaze's design includes clothing just my 2 cents

Interesting. I need to listen to more Public Enemy. Rebel Without a Pause is what got me into hip-hop. This game has great music. The sequel's music wasn't as memorable to me.
