It’s funny seeing this, (a dragon quest song) was uploaded by supradarky, because for the longggesttt time, I thought this channels name was supa dracky, a reference to the dragon quest monster dracky, and I mean, this channel has been around for a good while, and it was only like 3-4 years ago where I finally realized this channels name wasn’t a dragon quest reference 🤣

It makes me sad. Uematsu practically stole this song from Dragon Quest when he composed Boundless Ocean/Water World. I originally posted that this song was stolen from Final Fantasy III a few years ago when I heard it in Dragon Quest 8. But, Final Fantasy III came out in 1990 and Dragon Quest 3 came out in 1998. No wonder Dragon Quest fans have been so angry at Final Fantasy.

+Veero they re-use/re-arrange songs a lot in the series or in some cases portions of songs mixed into newer ones.
Another example is the DQ8 end credits theme being a throwback to DQV (sailing the ocean I believe)
heyitsyeh it’s the same bird. At the end of 8 Empyria says her real and is Ramia and that she can travel to different worlds. The birds name in DQ3 is Ramia,
DQIII had the best soundtrack of the NES quadrilogy IMO.

Huh, Dragon Quest VIII's the only one I've played all the way through, so I always thought this theme was specific to that game. Well any case this one sounds great!

@unionofonion you really missunderstand me ^_^ I have never played this game, but i really love the music and it actually strikes me (i actually FEEL something when listening to it!) I thought that was amazing! (and i don't have the nostalgia attack most have, so think how amazing the song is when you actually played the game!!)

I think after Every single DQ had pretty much the same music. Every version was better than the last one. DQ music is one of my all-time favs.

@buytamra3 Dragon Quest is good, and it never got as plot-heavy as Final Fantasy. The battle system is straight up turn based battling, as old school as it comes I guess.

DQ8's rendition of this is the best. But this sounds incredible for being on the SNES.
