Love Soule's work. He's a rather underrated composer in the gaming universe. Shame, that when people mention the Elder Scrolls series, no one seems to bring up the fantastic music. Wonder if Secret of Evermore was more popular, more people would take note of its soundtrack...I feel like they should, though. This is one of my favorite video game tunes.
Do you think he's underrated? I believe he's quite acknowledged to be one of the biggest composers of the industry. I know of no other whose name is mentioned with such respect and reverence. And rightly so. Do you remember Morrowind's soundtrack? There's a fan-made 'cover version', if you could call it that. I highly suggest you type 'Skywind Theme' into the search bar.
If you guys like Jeremy Soule's work with Secret of Evermore I would like to recommend the Elder Scroll IV:Oblivion soundtrack. He still makes gorgeous music even today.
@SmaddyDiva oh yeah totally on both points i grew up with snes found this game in a used game shop right around when ps1 was first out i did not regret purchasing this game but secret of mana when i saw it i immediately drew teh incorrect conclusion that they ripped stuff from this game lol both games were and still are ftw but get overshadowed by the final fantisies

Wow, I never knew this game had such a good soundtrack! This song reminds me of various from other games: "As Time Goes On ", from Tales of Phantasia; "What Should Be", from Star Ocean; and "Name Entry", from Castlevania Portrait of Ruin. So gorgeous that makes me cry...
@SupraDarky He was only 19??? Wow! I didn't know that. I thought this was one of the most under-rated game soundtracks of the SNES. It was probably the first game I played where the music didn't feel like video game music.

I've always thought the Secret of Evermore soundtrack had some of the greatest VGM ever. I think its equally remarkable the soundtrack was composed by a kid who I think was in, or just finished high school.

SoE is an incredibly underrated game. It has beautiful and moody music and lots of atmosphere. This is definitely one of the best tracks in the game.
I actually bought the CD Soundtrack of this game. I dont regret it.
I was a fan of Secret of Mana... and this game was excelent! Except that it scared the shit out of me from time to time.

It's a shame I only saw this game in the store, but I passed it since I had other games that I felt "more needed". :(
I finished the game for the first time since back when it released, loved it just as much. Excellent atmosphere. I love Robo-dog. My favorite part is probably the begining with the jungle, the giant ant boss etc. And to think that Jeremy Soule was 19 years old when he composed for this game.
