Sonic Advance music is pretty compressed.
It's in my favourite songs among the VGM playlist. Whichever Japanese Anon had the idea to do this is a genius and a true volunteering benefactor.
Both the Day & Night Stages were awesome. Blast through at super sonic speeds during the day, and beat the holy hell outta crap at night.
this is so stimulating to the ears! its like my ears were thirsty and this song is a tall glass of water.
i totally disagree the day levels were boring but the night levels were cool because of the fighting but overall really good game!!!
Never played the series, but this track is awesome, has this feeling of freshness, lightness and speed into it, very playful and a little bit tongue in cheek :D!
Sonic soundtracks are usually pretty good. The opposite can be said about the gameplay

This game was pretty good, the day stages were the best out of all the sonic games (in my opinion) because you go so damn fast. however the werehog was a new twist but it did get boring after awhile because there were more night stages then day stages. also the night stages took awhile to finish, but it was fun.

Wow, they're really just as bad? I've heard nothing but good things about them from most people I've heard from. I saw some trailers for them and figured they must be on point, but apparently they still leave some to be desired. Probably still will check out the DS or Advance games if I get a chance, but seems like Sega should listen to Sonic's advice from Brawl. "C'mon, step it up!"

@rpgsuperfan Your comment is my opinion exactly. Some of the GBA / DS Sonic titles were right on what we as fans wanted. So why are we getting rubber werewolves instead?

I never notice it. But there is a newspaper behind Sonic on the right. And there's something written there but I can't read it. I don't know... I just wanted to address it. Anyways... MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY!! ^.^
The day stages are really good, but the night stages really takes the fun away from the game. Well, I myself do like button mashing games (dynasty warriors, samurai warriors, go figure), and I do love the multiple combos you can do to the enemies during the night stages, but..trust me, Werehogs aren't made for platforming. After all that crap I waded through, I AM looking forward to Project Needlemouse and I just hope that the Sonic Team wouldn't screw up this time.

you gotta admit, even if you didn't like the game as much as I do, (I really like the game,) the music is pretty good.
The reason it gets hate is because it's not what you would expect from a Sonic the Hedgehog game. True, it was probably put in to break the repetitiveness of the day stages, but it ended up working backwards, making players want to see the light, rather play the day stages. Classic Sonic was so refreshing that they didn't want the Werehog stages to drag on as they did.
Amazing how the music nowadays still sounds amazing. Especially love the sound of the fast erhu =)
It's a kinda unique twist of a song, I think. Reminds me of a cheerfullier Metroid O.o Weirdly.
I like how the end of the stage is filled with cherry blossoms :)
