The only original soundtrack I bought back in the day. (There wasn't much choice where I live.) This track will always be a favorite of mine. And the game was indeed the best of the lot.
Definitely up there with my favorite ending credits themes in video games.
The violin ruins it a little, the first part is the BEST

I think this is the only game I've ever played where the end credits were a profoundly emotional experience. this song combined with the different shots of Nede and Expel... such a sense of closure. This game is a masterpiece.
Can't believe the entire sequence (and thus, music) was removed in the PSP remake, in favor of that terrible J-Pop song ! At least you can find it in the Music Test (without the video...) after beating the game, but still...

Well, for Claude, I think they were trying to get a voice that was closer to Ilia's and Ronyx's voice actors from the SO1 remake. The others.... They smoked too much weed? I dunno.
Such a beautiful ending. The game is one thing, but this song takes you on a journey of it's very own~
@rpgsuperfan They're both great, they just shouldn't have changed the VAs for PSP version.
I've never, ever listened to a more beautiful piece than this. If anyone can find any other pieces by other composers like this please tell me. I'll really appreciate it.

@calvinsora101 Yeah, that was in 1997 or whenever Star Ocean 2 came out in the U.S. I'm glad they retranslated the names back to original.

@calvinsora101 Because in the original Japanese version, that was their names. Indalecio was Gabriel. They changed it in the original American version for censorship reasons.

@SupraDarky This is very unique for Sakuraba...considering that his style has become quite repetitive nowadays. It's good to hear a song of his that is unlike most; thanks.
@TheVergile this is by far the best Star Ocean, although I have not played the new one that just came out, I still think this one would be my favorite.

This is a pretty unique song by Sakuraba. It grew on me.
