Believe it or not, this is quite a humorous game.

i'm scared to play this. I like RPGs and I enjoy old school games (heck I'm only just playing Dragon Quest III now) but this might be a bit too bare bones.

Two of my favorite games. I've been wanting a Dark Spire 2 ever since I finished the first one! I've played every dungeon crawler this gen and I need more! I've even played Class of Heroes, which was better than expected but not nearly as good as EO or Dark Spire. I've played all of the oldies too, EotB, Bard's Tale, Wizardry, M&M, etc.
So good! If you stick with it it is a very rewarding experience!
anyone else hear the Deconstructed TV theme in the guitars?
Oooh, this makes me want to get back to this banger of a game...I got sidetracked and started Etrian Odyssey II, which is ALSO a great old-school dungeon crawler. OLD-SCHOOL GAMERS STAND UP! If you are longing for the days when games actually posed a challenge then Atlus' Dark Spire and Etrian Odyssey games are what you're looking for. Super fresh games!
Ah, I need to get back into playing this (If I can muster up the willpower to train my thief another 3 stat points just to class change him because wouldn't you know it for some damn odd reason Thief/Mage combo requires strength to promote... ...). The music was great. I think the star of the soundtrack was the 'boss' battle theme though.

I really love the guitar in the background. It gives it a sort of F-Zero feel.
haahahahaha this is funny because i didnt buy the game because it looked like a piece of crap! i guess im gunna have to get it now...ive played games that sucked just because the soundtrack was awesome

I don't recall seeing this game around in my local Gamestore. =( Still searching for other good DS games, but lately the store doesn't have many that are unique or famous franchise(Don't speak about POkemon. :P)
This game is one of my favorites. I picked it up, and it was really hard. I've only gotten the first ending, so I still have some ways to go.
The game basically takes place in a big dark tower. It seems to be a bit medieval-ish. The music does sound futuristic though.
