It's quite wonderful that each field music and boss battle track has two versions. The music starts with the regular version that slowly leads into the majestic version (ver. II)Â that ups the number of instruments and complexity.

I hope another Okami game does come out, but add more cool features than just the brush and stuff. It really is a sweet idea, but they kinda just... I dunno, in my opinion they killed it in Okamiden. I never played it but.. I just don't want to. Okami was far more superior. In my opinion, of course.
Song makes me sad because Okami is such a wave of emotion game.
but that actually makes a game like Okami such a masterpiece.

In sheer scope and epicness nothing compares to okami's music. not even the fully orchestrated mario galaxy games. but in diversity i think a few have it beat. however thats not an issue as okami has to represent the culture of rural japan and does it beautifully with its melodies.
True Kagura will always be my favourite Okami track. Gives me goosebumps every time.

I say Black Ops can fornicate itself with an iron stick. With games like Okami around, it's a wonder people line up at game store doors at midnight to play yet another overrated FPS.

@Koopsas I think there'll always be developers that continue to try and make original games. The market will always be oversaturated with some kind of fad, but there'll always be some diamonds, or that's what I hope.
@SupraDarky And this time I hope sells will rise. Okami (both PS2 and Wii) have been selling very poorly, in spite of the sheer awesomeness. Gamers can be so neglecting at times...

@SupraDarky So am I. Okami was the best game I've ever played. It was so good, that It proceeded to break the barrier than any game could. It has a secret message, the entire game is a metaphor. Capcom does that... See if you can find it.

@Koopsas That's more than sad. Okami is a really GOOD Game, even got dozens of Awards (e.g. from IGN) and everybody who really played this game was amazed of it. Really sad. Now I'm looking forward to Okami-den.
It really saddens me, that as gamers, we all ways ask for new and orginal experiences. We don't want to play the same thing twice, so when a company like clover come along and really do something new and original, the masses simply ingnore it, and continue to play on there fps's. This means that more and more companys end up producing the same types of games, I dont know about anybody reading this, but I feel that this spells a worring future for video games.

Okami is easily the one of the top 5 games that have graced the PS2. It also has the greatest and biggest soundtrack ever written to a single video game. With five discs and 280 individual tracks... man.
It's odd cause that's one of the song I remember the most clearly, guess I did spend a lot of time in the plains o_O
I don't remember this song when I played it but I am liking it. Loved this game. Just the artwork and exploration and music. I feel like replaying it now.

I love Okami, it's soundtrack and Clover. Probably my favourite game, and it's got tough competition from Megaman Legends and Majora's Mask. Great choice. Too bad the sequel is being made by the people who ported Okami to the Wii. I would have though you'd have Sei-An City's Commoner's Quarters up by now though. My balls exploded from the awesome after hearing both parts.
I'd get it for the PS2, if only for the credits. The WIi version doesn't have a credits sequence due to it being made by a different company (the PS2 version also has a watercolor filter, making the game look more like a painting; at least, more so than the Wii version).

I remember I messed my leg up playing soccer back when I rented this. It helped me ignore the pain of constantly pulling my leg muscles afterwards!
The music reaches its most critical point at about 03:26. At this point, I can only imagine Ameterasu running at full speed through the plains, wind blowing through her fur. Very epic moment. Even more epic music. 5 stars, and favored.

Great choice SupraDarky. I've always loved this game for it's beauty, in every apsect, especially music and visuals. This is track is so good; it's my favorite area music.
