This rates higher than most Final Fantasy games in my collection. Basically right up there with Breath of Fire IV, Wild Arms, and Chrono Trigger. Just loved it and cannot place exactly why.

Some of the music in suikoden 3 has a eastern europe feel to it really enjoy the soundtrack play this song all the time.

its ok, you didnt. its a sad excuse for a suikoden. it doesnt even have much of the suikoden feel to it let alone the fact that it lacks some major elements that the real suikoden series has. its more or less a stand alone that really shouldnt have the name 'suikoden' in it but they labeled it as such because they wanted to lure in the fans of the series knowing full well that they would because no one would know its true colors until they play it for themselves only to be left disappointed.
Yeah, I know what you mean. The worst part about Tierkreis is that storyline is not even in "Suikoden world" but in another alternate dimension. And there are no runes the one of unique characteristics of Suikoden series. It's sad that Konami had thrown something special that Suikoden series had just for a "few more dollars of profit". Btw sorry if I had misspelled anything wrong since English isn't my first language.
yeah my bad, sorry about that. i always get the timeline wrong for some reason even though i knew it for years but when i say it i get it wrong even if by a year, pretty silly...but anyway i'm disappointed with Tierkreis as well, its like they decided to ditch the original story for a pseudo version of it, kinda sad. thats kind of a disrespect to the fans.
About chronological part of Suikoden 3 you are wrong. Suikoden 3 is 15 years after Suikoden 2. And about speculations that all True rune barriers would have some part in putting Harmonia and priests out of power... well it's possibility, but as things are going right know... somehow I'm afraid that won't happen. Especially now with Suikoden Tierkreis ruining everything that Suikoden 1 to 5 have done...
suikoden 3 chronologically takes place 20 years after suikoden 2 i believe is the actual timeline which is why riou and jowy arent in it and tir from suikoden 1 since they already played their parts in the events of suikoden but i think theres going to be another game released when they all come together to stop the true threat and thus expose many of the secrets of harmonia because theres a lot of unexplained things

No, it's a continuation in that it takes place afterwards in the timeline and some characters make return appearances, but Jowy and Riou (hero from 2) don't appear. An example being Apple becoming co-strategist of your army once again and Nash from Suikogaiden 1 and 2 (the Japanese games I assume you're talking about that actually take place during 2) being playable.

omg, this is the BGM of duck village... i missed that time when i played this game... so nostalgic...
I liked this game better than FFX and FFXII. Complicated latticework of a story, very rewarding. Game mechanics and music were pretty ace too.

Ya, I thought Suikoden 1 and 2 had a lot better soundtracks. 3 didn't really have any tracks that stood out. It was a pretty good game but doesn't compare to the first two, or Suikoden V in my opinion.

I don't like this. Suikoden III is not a great soundtrack, but there are a few decent tracks. The best one is Path Destroyer.
