Cerberus Battle
Looks like DMC 3 got Dante's interpretation of Cerberus and the third circle of Hell more accurately than the actual game based off Dante's Inferno. I mean, the latter got it pretty close, but they must have missed the part where it was stated circle #3's super cold, while DMC 3 looks like it didn't miss that part at all!
Would work amazingly as Potemkin's theme in Guilty Gear.

I will go on record and say that this is one of the best action games of the past 15 years. Yes, bias plays a good amount in my saying as much, but the game's mechanics, atmosphere, pacing, characters, and execution were all top-notch for their time and remain a joy to play through to this day. (And it's still just as challenging.) Oh, and it was hugely influential for its time, too. Games like God of War, Bayonetta, and even Bloodborne have to give a lot of credit to Devil May Cry for their success, as they largely ape off of its formula and frenetic pacing. I fucking love this game.

@Q-Prime, So what? Everyone has different tastes. Just because, for example, someone likes metal music doesn't mean they don't also like folk, or classical music. I know it's been years and it's useless to write but now you're just judging because it doesn't matches yout tastes -.-
Supra, sometimes your taste in games gets a bit too dark for me. What ever happened to the music from mario 64 and such? Sure it's a good tune, but sheesh. 4/10 of your songs are 8-bit, and of the rest 3/10 are kinda dark... not to mention 1/20 is a complete WTF was that? (skullmonkeys a little back up the list for example.) I dunno man... I dunno.
Adding to fr801's response, I listen to pretty much everything (except most pop, rap/hip hop and hardcore stuff) depending on my mood. Once it's eerie, once it's harder, sometimes I prefer cheerful music. Keep your mind open and try different things, might as well indulge in the emotions various genres bring instead of complaining about a personal list of someone else.
Oh yeah, cos apperantly if you like Mario 64 music, you have no right to like anything like Devil May Cry music according Q-Prime. Seems fairly logical...

Uh. It's not strange, it's a dream. And this game is not evil, it's awesome. You should have kept it. If I had to choose between being haunted by satan and selling DMC, I'd gladly be haunted.
Fun game, sadly one I never finished. I will get the HD collection and tackle it again. I think i got to mission 12 where you hold some item that puts you permanently in devil trigger mode but saps your life. I loved the ridiculous over the top cutscenes in this game.
Takes very long to finish him the first time. Thats why this battle is very memorable to me.
@MEGAGUY21 oh come one this game is not scary s not to offend you or call you a girl but this game is not scary. all the "scary" parts are calmed down by dante epic battle music
well thats true for horror games majicodemejico but if you want to say "kiss my ass demons!" play this game........seriously!
Great song but I think Vergil's final battle theme or even the game's main theme are way better. You should post those songs.
For some reason I can imagine Cerberus start randomly singing this to Dante while fighting him.
