Man, if there is one thing that can't be denied, its the quality of music. The music for this game was way and above its sequels.

I know this is not the same serie, but since the 3D Atelier (Rorona) we don't have the same quality of music if we compare with Ar Tonelico, Iris trilogy and Mana Khemia.

I remember putting down the controller and listening to the music while passing the story so far in my mind. Makes a more climatic battle.

MY GOD! That´s some nasty quality, instant classic, no doubt! I never thought this game could have such great music (I read a magazine were it got low grades, sadly...) I should have got it when I had the chance...Grrrr....

All GUST games have exceptional soundtracks, especially the battle tracks. and Ar Tonelico's is no exception. I remember this track playing when you fight Kyle/Bishop Falls infected with the Mir virus near the end of the game.

That's another thing I don't get. It's as if seeing blood is as bad as always having cleavage present. I've seen games where someone gets a cut and bleeds a little get a Teen rating, despite having no other major violence going on.

what system is it for?
The game is exceptionally well. The story is amazing and the battle system holds true to most old school role playing game turn based system. Of course, one of the most enjoyable thing about the game is the replay value. From the very end of the first chapter, you have the option of branching out towards different story lines or ending the game (note the earlier you end the game, the lower the ending you're going to get.) I would highly recommend this game for anyone who hasn't okay yet! ^_^
Wow! I've never played this game, and I'm blown away by this track. No nostalgia needed.
The ESRB is weird. I see games get marked Teen for content that's far less "adult" than alot of the games they rate as Everyone. I think that whoever does the ESRB ratings have something wrong with them. Hell, look up "complete heart of darkness deaths". Game's rated E, but some of the deaths are extremely brutal, like the main character getting his neck snapped.

The DS version uses Singing Mountain so that's sort of a bad example wouldn't you say?
I played the second one. It was alright, good varied music and gameplay, but it was pretty glitchy/buggy at times. Worth trying out if you like old school RPGs. I plan to pick up the first one since I liked the sequel.
