Wow, this sounds amazing compared to the Street Fighter II version. I never realized until recently they upgraded the songs so much for this game. Guile's Theme was really upgraded too.

@SupraDarky This is SNES version, it sounds too clear to be Genesis(not to say Genesis had bad sound, it was too synthesized).

The claps make the theme, and the stereo sound makes the claps. In mono, this would sound less than half as good!

@Supermariofan14 @ThanesIronheart Can't you fools see that this question was already asked and answered before by Supra himself? If you ever owned a genesis, you'd know that it's utterly incapable of creating sounds like this. This is THE SNES sound, and any fool who's owned one could see that. Just take the time out to search for what the Genesis version sounds like and even a musically challenged moron could tell the difference. It's easier than putting in a bullshit comment.

This is the Japanese version! I can tell by the lead instruments. I have both versions, that's the reason why I know anyways.

Although I hated playing as or against Balrog, you couldn't help to be caught in this tune. Also, I'm wondering if Capcom ran out of musical ideas. They had to have used part of this for the MMBN theme :P

I'm glad I got to experience the game as a kid. I played it at a friend's house, in the basement. There were a lot of epic 2P battles when we invited more people!

Y'know, all the music from Street Fighter 2 was awesome. Even Dhalsim's, which was UTTERLY AND TOTALLY FUCKING RUINED by those trumpeting elephants.

This is a direct convert from the SNES spc set. You can also check a video already on youtube by typing "Balrog - Super Street Fighter II - Genesis/SNES Comparison" where it actually compares both versions. The genesis version sounds a lot inferior.
