Yuzo Koshiro is (one of) the best composer(s) of the 16-bit era, ever. This game along with Streets of Rage 2 is proof.
Been listening to this playlist from the first track and was going to be seriously disappointed if there was no Actraiser music. No more disappointment.

This game was really amazing i am 18 years old now and i finally beat it i had no clue what i was doing as a kid i finally went back to play it and bam! it feels good when you come back to a game and can beat it :)

Hahaha oh, this game and all its blatant religious connotations... not to mention the oh-so-modern mantra of "invade area, kill all indigenous life, develop until unrecognizable". And, by god (or, I'm sorry, the master), I love the hell out of it.

Ok this is probably my favorite video game song ever. No, really, it is. I don't know why, I just remembered it constantly over the years, I remember finding it on the net years later and just feeling complete. It's such a quality song. It's got like the best opening for a song ever, its such a fast intro it makes you want to attack.
This is totally one of my favorite tracks ever! The level's so short, I'd just chill and listen to it. Megadriver did a sweet remix of this one too xD

I had the chance to get this but I got something else cause it was worth a lot and the seller didn't know so i bought for 10 and sold for 50. Later I played this on an arcade system(yes it was in arcades). I wish I'd have bought otherwise.
