i think that "old will have a nostalgia feel to it" is the best

listen to the underwater and above water themes combined— as loud as you can.
this game's music was just phenomenal!! One of the best video game soundtracks ever. Gives you a true sense of wonder and adventure
I haven't played this game because I don't have a current-gen console (I don't think PCs are superior, I just can never get used to using a controller instead of a keyboard). However, this game is one of the few that make me seriously think about getting myself one.

@vinitrujillo it was my 120th star as Mario because i couldn't get it so I was planning to do that later, later, later.... and finally i did it with luigi too.
@NorthPark308 Yeah, I finished the game pretty easily, except for that DAMN purple coins on 8 bit luigi! I've lost at least 40 lives on that star....

This ranks 10th on my best tracks for SM64, SMS, SMG1, and SMG2. This track covers 5 stars, a lot for an SMG track(3 of them in SMG2 under the name space storm).
Seriously, this is my favorite song of Super Mario Galaxy. As soon as I went to the level, I thought to myself, "Wow, this is really cool. I like it!". It was an instant hit in my books, and with video game music that doesn't happen very often, for I don't pay attention to music in games until after I go look up the music on Youtube. But this... This made an impact on my gaming. It made me want to do the best I could on the stage at hand!

@kinginsomniac - Gradius is indeed a badass game series. Lots of nostalgia and memories from my childhood. This song is also badass.

A video game that is an absolute masterpiece is Super Mario Galaxy. The gameplay utilizes the Wiimote in the best way possible and I feel getting each star involves a quality task. Super Mario Galaxy shows that the Wii can have excellent graphics if you just put a lot of effort into them. Koji Kondo continues to amaze people with his music and the orchestra just fits perfectly with a space-themed game. This game shows that Shigeru Miyamoto can still create excellent games.

Call me a nerdy, but it has that star trek Wooeeee feel to it close to the begining. SMG has a great soundtrack!
