Still one of my favorite JRPGs of all time. Awesome soundtrack, unique battle system, great plot and the voice acting was that kind of terrible you get attached to. Especially Ashton's terrible voice actor XD "Oooooh, The Almight Tria! Overthrow all the enemies!"

That is more than likely because it is Motoi Sakuraba, the same guy who composed both. He has done all the Tales games and Tri-Ace games as well. One of the best composers around, in my opinion

Got this and FFT a long time ago when I first had the PSX. Best choices I've ever made.
Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy 6 are two of my favorite games of all time, and they have their dramatic points, but it wasn't until playing this game on the PS1 that I really felt genuinely emotionally involved with the struggles of the characters.
This is sooo beautiful. Listening to it just fills me with happiness. Its a pleasing feeling almost undescribable

I looooove Crystal Chronicles! But it's much more fun on multiplayer than it is on single player.
The problem with the PS1 version was the godawful graphic design. While SO1 was nicely updated for its PSP-port, the SO2-port wasn't so much as fixed in any sense. So it really doesn't matter which platform you choose, the differences are hardly there. In fact, you could play the PS1-version on a PSP. ;)

I've only played the PS1 version and I definitely recommend it. I did hear the PSP port had some problems, but I can't say personally.
