All I saw when I played it was what could have been Dinosaur Planet.
And? It's not a real Starfox game, yes. But when you see it as a standalone game it's fantastic and a masterpiece.

Well it does kinda the same mistakes like Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. 1. Trys to be something else (Zelda) 2. Doesn't really got much to do with Starfox. Actually it's based on a game for the Nintendo 64 called Dinosaur planet 3. Looks pretty 4. Ignoring 1 and 2, it's actually a decent game. Much like Castlevania LoS

I'm currently watching an LP of Star Fox Adventures and so far it looks pretty boring in all honesty.
One of the most underrated soundtracks by far. The folks at Rare have done another fantastic job! It is a bit of a shame that the game turned out as Starfox Adventures opposed to Dinosaur Planet, but still, even with the moments that made this game stick out too much (Arwing fights basically. Without them I would have been perfectly content with this title one hundred percent.) its fantastic. Darn I need to play this again, at the very least for the scenery porn.

I hate that everyone is always hating on this game! The only reason people don't like it is because it is not a Star Fox games like the others were. If you look past that, you will play a great game.

@TheThievingJester who says this game is crap i think the starfox assult was worst because they tried to mix both air and ground combat that didn't quiet work but its amn okay game. however the best one so far is starfox 64 i am going to get it for the 3ds becuase my N64 doesnt read the game anymore.

This game is totally underrated, I'm playing it currently and it's an enjoyment to play it, even if i'm stuck on something. Amazing graphics, amazing music, amzaing game.
Too bad the game is such a linear corridor-run from start to finish. Had it had been designed for the gamecube´s POWER from the get-go, there would have been more to explore and wonder, I suspect.
No matter how many times I play and finish this game I always come back to it, this might be my favourite or near fave game of all time, it has amazing graphics for its time and console, the songs are great and its just awesome, but at the end they messed up big time the general scales "fight' wtf was that about?? like if you think that the general scales 'fight' was ridiculous
@Kirbychu1 You're right, I like some games from this Era such as Oblivion but I can't like the new Wii Mario and DK. It isn't the same, it doesn't have the same music the same style. It's like, if you play Mortal Kombat 3 for the SNES and than play the newer Mortal Kombat for the 360/Ps3, it doesn't feel the same
@XxGonixXFAN SMB was my very first video game, and I grew up with a NES and Genesis, I'm not new to video games. Believe it or not, it is possible for someone to like both new and old games. I don't think Nintendo has ever really lost its charm. In my eyes, they never fail to deliver.
@Kirbychu1 Super Mario Galaxy, a lot of new comers to mario liked it but the older generation of mario lovers who first played mario when it just came out didn't like it. I can tell you are one of the new comers, a kid, that likes these old games. If you could go back in time and played the games I played, than you would disagree with yourself
@XxGonixXFAN I disagree. Even though many companies turn to guns and violence to real in the big bucks, Nintendo has always stay trued to its fans and delivered both excellent and creative games. Kirby's Epic Yarn, Super Mario Galaxy 2, and Donkey Kong Country Returns would all like to have a word with you. Those are just the recent ones too.
Why is this so underrated. I LOVE this game. I play it because majority of todays game are all about graphics and explosions, this game is about story and friendship. You don't get amazing games like these anymore

This game is OK, but come on, when you buy a Starfox game, what you want is the traditional space-rail-shooter-thingy, not this Hybrid-Space-3rd-person-shooter-beat'em up-thingy.

own this one, i liked it a bit but it really went lacking the closer you got to the end of the game... felt rushed in the end and not as fleshed out as the initial stages were.

Re-listening to this now, it strikes me as being very familiar to the music in Viva Pinata, at least stylistically.
I really enjoyed playing through this back when it was first released. Thanks for showcasing its great music and encouraging people to give this one a second look.
It isn't rare, this is a remake of dinasour planet for the 64, hence the drastic change of direction.

Because YOU stated earlier that Zelda is not one of the best Adventure franchises out there, as if it was fact! My god, are you an idiot? And yes, I know that the newer Zelda games are easy, and it irritates me. But there are many other reasons that makes it my favourite franchise.

If you did, you'd then realize that Zelda is easy (except the first two) and simple compared to other action/adventure games out there. Thou I may disagree with your statement I can't help, but acknoledge this game being far better then Twilight Princess. I guess I shouldn't compare it to Twilight Princess thou since Twilight Princess is so bad so I guess comparing it to OOT isn't that bad(I liked MM and WW a bit more). Sure it's not as good as some of the Zelda games and perhaps some of the voice acting isn't the best but this game isn't that bad. Much like how everbody says Game Cube sucks it doesn't it's great! Wii SUCKS!
By far one of the best soundtracks created and one of my favorite imo. I went and bought this at gamestop just to hear the music from this game, it made the game that much better.

The only thing that truly disappointed me with this game was the General Scales fight that never happened.

Arguably the most underrated game of all time. Fun as hell, eye-melting graphics, excellent soundtrack, and fantastic gameplay. Just because it's very different from other Starfox games doesn't mean that it sucks. In fact, I like this much better than Assault or the DS one.
I will agree. This game has an awesome soundtrack. It's a good game, but the only problem is that it's too short and too linear.

The game was pretty good when considered alone. The problem was it was trying to be Zelda when Zelda was already around, and doing it better. It was certainly a good looking game, especially during the rain, and the soundtrack worked too. Just a shame it wasn't better received.

Oh my jesus, i remember that. you were against some other dinosaur in a test of strength . You had to push a wheel and who ever pushed the hardest, the other would fall into a hole. I couldn't button mash for the life of me, no matter how hard i tried. i asked my sister to do it and she pulled it off for me luckily
This game alowed me to perfect the "double finger: technique, since my controller was already falling apart. Normaly, someone uses their thumb, or index finger. I use my index and middle, alternating between the two quickly.
did anybody else stop played the game since it can overheat your Gamecube?(or at least mine did)
