For all the people that say chrono trigger its the best RPG they need to play some more RPG and this is one of them, this RPG is awesome
i've played a lot of rpgs, many obscure ones, but CT is still among the best for me.
CT is still very good but definetly not the best best
To me, both Chrono Trigger and Suikoden II are at the top. But, as for many other things, I have trouble to define the top one. ;)
This one isn't the lighthearted romp that CT is. You need to be ready for some serious crap in this game. Game makes it seem like you're not going to have some feels. This is no game. This is war man.
it is a great game just not the best rpg by far
can I recommend Star Ocean 2 also for me the best RPG is Tales of the Abyss, best story line on a RPG by far.
For me the best Suikoden, his OST has a lot of tracks!
I was a little upset when the music played in Greenhill changed after you liberated the town. I liked this theme so much better than the other one.

Best RPG sequel EVER! Konami is seriously dumb for never repacking suikoden 1 and 2 in the states. Be nice to see a suiko double pack on psn so that way you can have the games interact with each other.
I read that the principal idea of Suikoden is Suikoden 2 and Suikoden 1 was created to make Suikoden 2. I an interview to the creator that i really dont want to search now, but you can google it jajajajajaja.
@Jaopazo It is. The creator actually already had the idea for suikoden II already before the original one but he felt that the concept isn't mature enough. That's why he made Suikoden One first.

If you have PS3 (or PSP) you can buy it from PSN. However there is no Suikoden 2 on PSN, at least not english one.
Man l just saw all the videos... can I tell one I miss here ? Despite the fact that probably nobody knows it, the themes from Alone in the Dark (the oldies I to III) are really well done, for those who are curious and want to check it out I have the songs among my collection of games soundtracks... others I miss, 2 or 3 songs from Doom I and II.... but anyway, GREAT JOB !!!! I my congrats to you !
