I love Simon's animation in these game, walking jumping attacking with his whip, and this background music, so badass.
I still prefer the Super Castlevania Version, but Bloody Tears is still awesome

Difficult song to remix. Often loses so much in the transition. I can't remember a remix of this I've loved.

This is the only NES castlevania I have finished. Flame whip made it so awesome. I was never able to get all of the items like the gold dagger and such, but I don't think it was as hard as people make it out to be. I died way more in the first and third ones, and super castlevania 4 was way hard.

Honestly, I prefer the SCIV version on this song. C'Mon, it's exactly the same, but with double the quality. Still, this is an awesome song, nevermind the amount of bits in it, be it 8 or 128.

People are smoking crack if they think this is a bad game. It was great for its time. Excellent music. Without this game you might not have Symphony of the Night.

It's very true. Oddly enough, I like them in the reverse order. Beginning, then Vampire Killer, then Bloody Tears. Most people like Tears the best. All in all though, its preference. And its all awesome.

A couple of days ago I replayed SOTN after about 5 years (since it's so easy to download from xbox live arcade), so this video certainly came as a nice suprise! One of the best Castlevania tunes for real.
You'd be suprised at how many versions there are. Legends was the Arcade style game, right? I think it was one of the power-ups.

My point was to say that the fanboys would demolish me because they feel the need to not allow change or to allow people to have a different opinion. I posted a similar comment on a DoS track video and it had a -7 rating because I said I didn't like it so much.

I was wondering how long it would be until I saw this game on this list, and while I do see its appeal, one has to admit this song has been beaten into the ground and back. While it has the nostalgia factor, Castlevania music is so much better in modern era. It's an okay song, but there's definitely better ones to choose. I'm sure this will get a -6 rating in about 3 minutes.
Awesome, This is another song that I knew you would have to put up eventually. This is definitely one of the best songs in the whole Castlevania series.

I beg to differ, it was a good game. It was basically the start of the Castlevania RPGs, it was a little confusing, but then again, alot of NES games were back then.
To be frank, I expected this to be a little earlier than 340, but numbering doesn't matter. Great choice anyhow.
