Honestly, I liked the night theme better, but the day theme's good too. I will go so far as to say that with the exceprion of a stage that begins with "Rooftop" and ends with "Run", the night themes are a lot better than the day themes.

Haven't played that one in a while but I do realize now that Unleashed's level design could be worse. It could've been Game Gear level design.
Worst? Sir, have you not played the other 3D sonics? Unleashed, as bad as its levels really were, was still a slight step forward from some of the previous crap like 2006...
So long as you're willing to put up with the worst level design in the franchises history...

I actually don't mind the Werehog, I kinda like it. I still have yet to beat the game, I have to take the time to play through everything.... @w@;; so hard for me to slow down to actually collect stuff...
@sonicmario64 The Wii version felt like the incomplete version. Several levels were cut, including an entire continent. The last level was a whole lot easier on the Wii, though.

This was the first somewhat enjoyable Sonic game in years. However, once I played Sonic Colors, I was blown away. It's possible that this might be the start of a comeback for the blue blur.

I don't know why someone gave you a thumbs down for your comment. But I sort of agree, it reminds me of Born to Be Bone (That was one of my fave Gitaroo Man songs) Only the instrument at 0:18 reminds me of it though.

The way I see it: Either you hate the day stages and love the night stages or you hate the night stages and love the day stages. Only exception is if you hate both.

I do like Sonic Unleashed a lot but I agree with your point wholeheartedly. The Werehog levels weren't that fun. The Sonic stages however I think are the best I've ever seen. I hope the next game would be all Sonic with stages just like these. At least Sonic Team somewhat headed in a right direction with this Sonic game.
I played Unleashed for the 360 today and I thought it was pretty good! I had tons of fun with it. I don't know why people bash it so much.

Agreed. I understand that people like Adventure 1 better, but to me I liked Unleashed SO MUCH more, it was actually FUN to explore the hubs in Unleashed. You also bring up a good point, people say they don't like Unleashed because half the game is not "true sonic" yet they love Adventure 1 where 5/6 of the game is not "true sonic." Bunch of hypocrites I swear. XP
"Ignoring Big." You said it yourself, there's a NECESSARY COMPONENT of Sonic Adventure that sucks. Plus, SU has decent voice-acting in the cutscenes, no stupid treasure hunts in the main story, and a decent system. The only downside is the whole let's-make-WereSonic-walk-down-a-million-balance-beams thing.
I was going to put some more of the awesome music from the first two games, but Ehal256 mentioned Sonic 3 and I ran with it. Sonic CD has some great music as well. S&K didn't have MJ's music. The pedo case happened just before s3 was released, so Sonic Team dropped MJ for good about the same time. S&K's music is all Sonic Team. That's also why the "Come On" boss music isn't in lock-on or S&K.

Sorry, but the existence of Big the Cat, and the horrible voice acting, kind of killed it for me. Plus the treasure hunting missions. I'm sorry, but hunting for items should be relegated to optional side-quests, not made a vital part of the game! It's Sonic. It's about rushing through at high speed!
I'll +1 it for saying Unleashed is good, because it is. (360/PS3 version anyway.) But Sonic Adventure series has always been one of his better games aside from Sonic 3 & Knuckles.
I consider Sonic Unleashed to be a good Sonic game. Not as good as the originals, certainly, but it makes Sonic Adventure look like the sorry joke that it is.
Angel Island Zone Ice Cap Zone Launch Base Zone Flying Battery Zone Sandopolis Zone "Come on" Boss Theme Knuckles's Theme (S&K version) Boss--Death Egg Zone Doomsday Zone Look those up some time. The music kicked ass. Also, Scrap Brain Zone, from the original Sonic, is pretty good techno, but it does tend to get stuck in your head.
Not nearly as good as the Genesis games, but still WAY better than the swill Sonic Team's been peddling for the past decade. If you have a Wii, do yourself a favor and get the Wii version--the controls aren't retardedly loose in that one. Be warned--it is addictive.

I just want to defend this game a little bit. This game was good, in terms of the concept of the Day stages, they were a step in the right direction. Wolf-Hog levels were balls.

Try the game for yourselves, guys, before bashing. The werehog's not Sonic but it's actually some solid gameplay and the graphics (360 ver) are amazing. Great game, worth playing.

I briefly played the 360 version, and it's good when you're playing as Sonic, but really bad when you're the werehog. Surprisingly good song, though. Sonic music hasn't been this good in almost a decade.
