@Andres Carrero Cardenas Honestly I tire of Sakuraba's samey tracks on Tales, though he can obviously do better (see dark souls, Resonance of Fate, etc). Go Nagai has his own style, but he always does something unique..
@itsacharcoalice Anyway it's obvious for anyone who's got ears that Go Nagai's work on Legendia is better than anything Sakurara has done for the series. Don't get me wrong I like(d) Sakuraba, but the Tales series clearly had generic soundtracks and is probably amongst his least notable works (compared to Valkyrie Profile, Baten Kaitos or even Golden Sun :/). Tales of is a bit how to do easy money for him. Legendia is the only exception and is probably one of the best (and most sophisticated) video game osts in the last 10 years, with NieR, and probably some others. It's a shame the game is so average.
@xenotypos You mean Go Shiina guys, Go Nagai is more into vintage manga. A tasteful mistake though. There's some really good tracks from Sakuraba in the Tales of series, but there's also a limit at how much you can squeeze a composer I guess. Legendia was a breath of fresh air, I'd like to see Go Shiina being given free rein more often, his God Eater works are very good too.
@Young_Lion wut, you're totally right. I don't even understand why the hell I wrote Go Nagai since I actually barely know him, while usually I really like to talk about Go Shiina. This case is a weird one ahah.
Go Shiina did a great job with this OST. It was something new rather than Sakuraba's recycled melodies. Not that I hate Sakuraba, I just think it's nice to let some else someone shine every now and then. Sakuraba and Go Shiina will be working together for Zestiria's sounds track.
@SuperDuperCooper08 Don't quote me on this but i heard that Tales/Bamco kinda makes him do really samey tracks every time.

After listening to this, I feel like I need to play through this game again. I'm not really sure what is it that I liked about it so much. I guess it's just the amazing music and really charming characters (Moses, Norma, and Will ftw), because I remember the storyline itself not being particularly amazing...

i don't understand why anyone would think this is better than symphonia... this is pretty good, but the fact that symphonia was a much better game, and that you can connect the music to the game in such a positive manner should put it above this song... that being said, this is still fantastic as pure music
@iwakurawoof Unfortunately, this is only noticeable in the very good artworks, not in the terrible game itself.

The beggining piano part makes me think of Spiderman.
...probably just me but does anyone think the guy to the left with red hair looks like Mugen, the guy to the right with beads on his neck look like Jin and the girl below him look like Fuu all from Samurai Champloo?...

Same designer. They also have similar personalities, though "Fuu" in this case is a lot less passive.
@babydragon82 My thing with Legendia was that I absolutely loved the music (I will agree with you that it has the best soundtrack, ToA coming in second), and the characters and story were fantastic, but the battle system wasn't as great compared to the other Tales games and the dungeons were WAY WAY WAY too long. Scenery porn can only distract me for so long, you know? Still, it's only a not-great game when compared to other Tales games. It's still a fantastic game. =)
Definitely the best soundtrack of ALL the Tales series. Go Shiina definitely needs to be composing more soundtracks for these games.

@Kill52 This only plays during a few events in game, which is kind of a shame, but I'm happy with what made it to be the game's battle themes.
Legendia had the best music ever. (Tales series) They need this on the whatever next Tales there's going to be.
This game sucks as an action RPG, the battles are like playing a bargain basement Street Fighter clone. The story doesnt draw you in at all.....Be ye warned

I definitely agree with you about the music. Even as a big fan of the Tales games though I wouldn't personally recommend Legendia. It's fairly rare now and paying any more than about 20 bucks for it isn't worth it IMO.
I haven't personally played Legendia, but judging from the music I'm finding, the OST seems to get less credit than it deserves. Not to undermine ToS1, ToS2, and Abyss, but this sounds better.

Ah, I remember this one. Unique and interesting. The fast bass note that plays from 1:07-1:15 amuses me.

Really good, pick. It kinda sounds like Encounters with a Third Kind (the second) From Castlevania CoD, but with more orchestration and variety.
I assume, by the title, this is the battle music. (My bad for assuming, never played the game). It's an awesome theme, though ^_^ Though, personally, I do have to say I like the one from Tales of Symphonia better ^_^;;; Just personal preference.
