This game kicked so much ass it's been over 20 years and they're still cleaning up...
Sounds fun
blizzard had great music until the expansion of wow burning crusade. Their sound budget was just so wonderful and they had so many talented artist. nobody cares nor wants to hear music from d3 and wows numerous expansions. SC2 initially had great music, ill. give it that. Still, every year on diablo's anniversary, Matt Ueleman (sp) 's theme still plays and you can listen to it for hours.

They're "Activision Blizzard" now, have been for a while.
It's an impossible task to keep the same identity over a couple decades, acquisitions, and becoming obscenely profitable. Never going to happen. Not even possible. Times change, people change, companies are born, morph and die. All things are cyclical.
k9wazere Still, of all the publishers to sell out to... Activision is quite a severe company in terms of sacrificing the nature of a studio for profitability. It's a very extreme, undesirable scenario. But I suppose you're right, it had to happen eventually.

I love SC2... but the music in SC! far outshines any in SC2. I don't get the rough, never surrender feeling from the SC2 terran music like i do from this. All of the SC1 music is better imo

to tell you the truth, if you have all the BF2142 songs playing while you are in starcraft, it actually feels like it fits better... not to mention that it feels allot more badass if you play Red Alert 2 music in starcraft.

I miss this game was well, but only because my copy is lost in space, and I don't want to get a new one and remake all of those custom maps. Those took forever with the old editor, geez.

This game pissed me off in college. probably because all my friends were korean and they'd kick my ass everytime. I'd much rather play custom games on WC3 but thats just my opinion I played WC2 before starcraft so maybe thats just my preference

Dont know why its ranked 282. The music of starcraft I believe manages to create a feeling while playing the game that is worth more than the graphics of a game. If I were to make a list it would be around 20 or so, and definately rank higher than wild arms.
this has to be the best track of all blizzard games in my humble opinion. It really sets the mood of the overal game.

You're the one who probably doesn't know what you're talking about. It's a joke that went around when warcraft 2 was out where people kept saying that starcraft was warcraft in space. But what starcraft really is was a much more sophisticated game that got too popular. They even added the joke to a super unit in the campaign where the unit said the joke itself. "dunno what you're talking about"? More drama please you attention wh=<. Don't know the point of your reply to be honest.

I've always stuck to console games, so I haven't played many PC games. p.s. My comp's bugged up with spyware, so I can't listen to any vids for now, not even on the Wii. I'm running on "Safe Mode" for now.
I'm still playing. Best with Protoss myself, but Played with Terrans just for the song.
Yeah I'm actually not all that great at the melee games, although I've been trying to get better with Terrans. I used to play Diablo II myself although not for too long. I had decent equips but still got my butt kicked at the pvp games. XD
Haha yeah I actually stopped playing because of Diablo II back then! :P I was extremely good at this game though! Now I'd probably be horrible.
