@- JobroCodwawz - I mean, the gameplay is alright but the story is kind of non-existent. Not like that's a problem for me since my favorite Generation, Gen 4, arguably didn't have much story either.
Ah, Sootopolis... the only city in pokemon where you could legit break the game without meaning to, while entirely playing by the rules. Release or trade away all your surf able pokemon, while owning exactly zero fishing rods, and you will never leave that little island the pokecenter is on... unless you can get a friend to trade a surfer to you! Very relaxing tune to be marooned on an island forever to tho, u gotta admit.

I disagree Red/Blue is the best followed closely by Gold/Silver/Crystal

R/S/E Still has one of the cutest and most innocent music in the whole Pokemon franchise so far in my opinion. I had the game once before, but I have no idea where it went. I vaguely remember playing the game, but after listing to this, and Littleroot Town, I feel like spending over $30 for the game again. It's so worth it.
.....some how i got this tune stuck in my head after not playing pokemon for over 8 years, dont get me wrong i played the crap out of emerald over 90 HR on one game file..;( those were the days

ahhh nice to find some R/S/E songs on your list. I admit that your list is lacking a bit in Pokemon, but what you have already is quite nice. Hope to see Lilycove City pop up on this list sometime in the future :p
Well, I rather think Sinnoh is supposed to look geographically like Hokkaido, but the atmosphere and the style of the region is supposed to be european.

i remember it took me a while to get here, you got to dive into the water in the RIGHT part of the ocean then find your way through until you find a sunkin ship then go back above the water, i spent alot of time above the water saying to myself where is this TOWN ARGHH lol then i went under water, im like dope
When Generation 3 came out, I saw the anime and thought Hoenn sucked until I got Emerald. It was such an addictive game :O

@lol46uk On Sapphire, I maxed out the hours. I played Sapphire so much. Definitely my favorite game out of them all.

@Kirbychu1 I prefer the Gold/Silver and Red/Blue soundtracks myself, although I do find the tracks from Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald to be superior to those of Diamond/Pearl and Black/White.

I spent hours just going around underwater to find how to get to this city. After clearing the Groudon incident, (was playing ruby) to hear this tune made the tension fade away in a semi-tropical relaxation, despite the last gym leader being right in the middle of the atoll.
Generation III was what brought Running Shoes to Pokemon. How many people, honestly, don't use the freaking Running Shoes in their game? No one. No one likes to wait around, walking around like you're missing knees.
Saying "Gen III was the worst of the Pokémon series" is like saying "having exactly $1,000,000 makes me the poorest of the millionaires." It's true, but I'd still rather have it.

i miss the music from ruby saphire and emerald but i never play them anymore they are so boring they should make the next genreation of pokemon games like going through all the regions all in one game
@cleo958 Your English is quite good, so don't worry about that. =) Also, I agree with you. I didn't notice how Sinnoh music felt, too be honest, since for me Pearl was more of a marathon to finish than an actual game to enjoy. All I can remember are the cutsey songs, though. So I guess I'll go with those.
:D Oh, Sootopolis City... Some things I have to say about it. 1. Kyogre and Groudon are fighting in it during Emerald, only to be stopped by Rayquaza. 2. THE CAVE OF ORIGIN. 3. Wallace = Gym Leader not Champion. Steven = True Champion. 4. FRIGGIN BRICK BREAK. If those things don't make an awesome city, then I didn't hear u liek mudkipz. (Had to throw that in)

In this certain city, I have always had an idea of a loose connection between it and New Orleans. Just the idea of a city below sea level, and I tend to think of one when I think of the other.

Always loved this music, has thought each game has proved great individual music and this is one of the best from the Sapphire range. Good song, and hard to get (if you consider most music you don't have to scuba dive to hear).
this has to be the coolest city in any pokemon game.
This, the Cinnabar island theme (Soul Silver version), Ecruteak city's theme, and the Eterna forest theme from the Diamond/Pearl/Platinum make for some of the best location-based pokemon music

RSE still has the best music out of any Pokemon game.
Ruby was my first pokemon game, and pretty much the only one I like. It remains a classic to me.
@linosstari i know what you mean, hoenn has to do with the sea and what not. johto im guessing sounds like colder weather because of all the pine trees. kanto, now kanto is a mystery. i think the music just sounds like awesome because its awesome
@JyoErinn15 exactly! I actually have played pokemon games since obtaining red and blue back when they were first released, and I would agree that Ruby and Saphire were the best games. Especially in terms of metagame: 386 play was amazing :).

Yup not to metion that Junichi Masuda, who made the music, was influnced by his memories of his summer vactions as a kid as he created the album. You could see how they affected the songs, very well in my opinion.
Ruby was my first pokemon game that I actually completed. I played Red before that, but the game couldn't save. I still hum this song sometimes when I'm bored.
I had the opposite. Johto had more of an oriental/Japanese feel to it. Ecruteak had a major influence on that.
Unless it's HeartGold/SoulSilver.

agreed, thats because the different reigons in each generation of pokemon represents different areas of japan in some way. like in D/P/Pl, sinnoh was modled after hokkaido, the northern most island of japan, and both of them are cold and snowy.

It's alright, but it doesn't compare to the nostalgia of red and blue or even yellow.

I have Yellow, Gold, Crystal, LeafGreen, Sapphire, Pearl, and Platinum. Yellow was my first.

I only played ruby in japanese and didn't know what the hell i was doing but damn did i have fun with it. the over world had a layout that i enjoyed alot.
Goldenrod and Cinnabar are classics, but this is a regal song.
This theme and Littleroot are the best amongst the ruby/sapphire series.

This one is pretty good. :3 R/S/E had some pretty catchy music... The thing that was sad about this gen (for me) was that they stopped naming the towns and cities after colors... My favorite songs from this game are the songs for route 113 (ash falling) and route 111 (desert). Those are my favorite routes, too... along with the ones on both sides of Fortree. ^-^
