It’s a pretty sad piece of music actually. Very dissonant. Something clashes with the design of the level and the dissonance of the music. It always unsettled me when I was younger.

It makes me sad because it never really stuck, Bomberman 64's gameplay and level design I mean. Even now it's pretty much gone entirely back to the square arena deathmatches, which is fine, but I personally enjoyed what Bomberman 64 gave us a lot.

The Bomberman series in general is underrated. The N64 games were my favorite. It pains me that this game got average and below average scores on most review sites...

Bomberman 64 had AMAZING puzzles to solve to get those gold cards and the music and atmosphere was great. Only issue the controls werent so tight so it was much more frustrating to pull off some of those bomb tricks than it should have been

I can't help but feel that they're trying to throw too much into the newer Bombeman games. The simplicity is what makes the game so fun.

i see. i have a somewhat similar story with my mom, but she didn't grow distant. instead, when i was second grade(?) she started teaching again, so that got iin the way of playing with her. a real shame, too, because she was really good a platformers. my sister and i are planning to reintroduce gaming to her though, via megaman2. i hope that you're on better terms with your dad.
No, it was dad exactly. But one day he just became distant and stopped playing with me, so I asked my mom to play. Its been fun ever since.

One of the more under appreciated games on the N64. Me and friends used to rent this and go crazy with multiplayer. I managed to clear the one-player over time, but this game really shines with four controllers, and a group of people screaming and running from bombs.
That was such a good era, I miss playing games like this.

Super Bomberman 5. It's just so much win.
Me and my friend used to play this game so much when we were younger. We'd usaully play the pyramid map. I havn't played this game in a lnog time now, and I've forgot so much about it. Nonetheless I remember that the game had some extraodinary music along with the sweet gameplay. It's simply games like this that makes you happy that you're a gamer, not to mention ALIVE.
i know someone who plays every week, for the last (what is it now, 10??) years.. WITH THE SAME 2 CONTROLLERS!! and yhea they did kill bowser in 64 multiple times with that thing... it's a complete knockoff that's the reson it's so good acording to them!

That's because he didn't! The first 64 game was composed by Akifumi Tada. Mitsuda did The Second Attack alongside Yoshitaka Hirota. Both are equally amazing soundtracks, and I consider 64 to be terribly underrated.
i would go crazy for it. the Bomberman games on the 64 are so underrated.
