Banjo-Kazooie has some damn fine music, but you can't beat the main theme in my opinion.

I've never had the pleasure of playing a Banjo Kazooie game. But I've heard they're really good.

THis level and spiral mountain were the best in B-K. the others were good, of course! but these two were definitely the best and most memorable. I just remember learning to fly and exploring the entire island, then trying to uncover the mystery of the lone island.
It IS radically different from it's predecessors, I'll admit that, but throw the previous games out the window, and it's a really fun game.
IT WAS A SPIN OFF. IT'S MADE OBVIOUS BY THE END.

Well, whatever the case, it's a shame to see my favorite game company fall in such an unglorious manner. At least we still have the old games to play, right?
I'd agree regarding SFA, very dissapointing game. Well, I would have thought personally, that members of staff had been progressively leaving the company, and seeing this trend, Nintendo acted upon it. Mere speculation of course.
I suppose the issue arises from the question of did Nintendo selling Rare cause them to lose value, or did Rare lose it's value before Nintendo sold them off and Nintendo just saw it coming? The last console game they released before the sale was Star Fox Adventures, and while that game was GARBAGE (opinion), I don't see how Nintendo would come to the conclusion that Rare is a sinking ship from just one game, especially when they brought over ten games that sold wonderfully on the N64 and SNES.

i miss the old rare. i hate it how things just... die down like that... live fast yet die slow. thats one way of putting it. and i love old games, movies-- sorta, depends. if its from when u were little or something, then u would like it. simple. never had an xbox, probs never gonna get one. maybe ps3 instead.

Just to call you up on a couple of things (not to embarrass you, just to let you know). Firstly, Nintendo never 'had' Square. Square were third party, they just developed for Nintendo, rather than Sega. Which made perfect sense because Sega had their own RPG in Phantasy Star. Secondly, ever notice how Rare have become a mere shadow of their former self? Nintendo were completely in the right to sell them when they still had some value. Nintendo were laughing all the way to the bank.

To bad Banjo and the Bird are no longer apart of my game collection :( Would of loved to see a Banjo Kazooie game on the Wii instead of the X-box. Banjo was a Natural platforming game. People complained it was to similar to Super Mario 64. I owned both and had a very tough time deciding which one was better. God those were some of the best child hood memories.
One of Nintendo's worst decisions IMO was getting rid of Rareware and Square soft. Rareware made Banjo Kazooie and Tooie and a few games(Perfect dark, DK64, Conkers bad dur day) Square Soft(now Enix) made Super Mario Rpg and Final fantasies 1-6 which were some of the best ones of the franchise (FF6 snes ftw.)
All Banjo Kazooie music has a hint of "darkness". I think Rare did a fantastic job fusing comedy and sinister undertones in Banjo Kazooie to honestly make one of the best adventure games of all time.

This game made an amazing sequal just like some more of the great games. If you dont have this yet i recomend ording this and Banjo-Tooie

Treasure Trove Cove... For me, the high point in B-K. The rest of the game was awesome, but this was the best. B-T beat it in Hailfire Peaks in my opinion, though.
@thenintendogamer Well, back then you didn't have much of a choice since internet wasn't that common. At least I was a lot more patient then and kept trying and playing til my hands were sore. :p
Fucking hell I don't know how most people beat this back then without a walkthrough for some of the harder to find jiggies.

That shark made this level slightly more horrid. Games nowadays need something like this to annoying players. Something hated that is kinda out of the way and its fearsome if you tread in its area.

If anyone thinks Rare made a huge mistake with Nuts and Bolts, please thumbs up or down. I think they could have made a sequel just as amazing as Tooie.

Lol, I hated Sharkfood Island! I remember, once, when I was a kid, I swam to that island, with the shark chasing me, and when I got out there, I barely had any HP left. XD I had to reset the game, because I didn't want to get eaten by the shark. lol
Don't forget mad monster mansion or rusty bucket bay and most of all click clock wood!
There is some more now, but you are so right. One partlicular highlight is Freezeezy Peak for me.
