I haven't had the chance to dig into the last DLC level they released but I'm super excited to give it a try. I heard it's very hard and that's exactly what I want from Celeste because it usually knows how to be challenging in a fair way. I often say how the importance of atmosphere in video games is criminally underrated. At its core, Celeste is a near-perfect challenging platformer with great gameplay mechanics, but the atmosphere (which is also rooted in the music and story) is for me what set it apart.

A game that's always been on my backburner. I know it'll be fun but there's so many games right now that's way more interesting to play in the now.

Have you played Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom yet? Super underrated platformer/Metroidvania with an outstanding OST

The DLC chapter is probably half as long as the rest of the entire game, if not more. It took me 5 or 6 hours to finish I think. Might have been as many as 8 hours, I can't remember. Really excellent, but absolutely brutally difficult.

Got this game because it was free on epic games for a day and i am 30 hours in now, its absolutely amazing, the gameplay is extremely fluid and precise and the story was really touching in some parts.

Played Celeste last month for the first time and wow... Such a tight platformer, amazing story that hits you hard if you've been through something similar (I did back in 2018). The game related it to me so much and in so many ways man... that I must say it was more than a game, it was an experience. I'll never forget that part where you fall down the mountain and then at the end of the game Celeste mentions that she needed exactly that, sometimes you just have to hit deep (life in this case) to realize you have to make adjustments to the current life you are living and be "reborn" as the best version of yourself. At least, that's what I like to call what happened to me.
