It's been 13 years since Wild Arms 5 released and that just makes me sad, especially because a JRPG set in a Western setting is still pretty unique to this day. I also feel like each game in the series had its own unique feel, including Wild Arms 2. That and the fact that a composer like Naruke hasn't been really active for all this time is such a waste of talent. There's a simple joy to her compositions.

I’ve played a ton of jrpgs, but for some reason I never got around to this series. What would you (or anyone else) suggest as my entry into the series?

Michiko naruke is one of my favorite composers, shame wild arms is dead for now

@Sablen 1 I'd say start with the first one instead. But I'm biased because I loved that game so much. A lot of people liked 2 probably even more than the first.

It might have been 13 years since WA5, but the bigger surprise to me right now is to realize that it's been 1150 videos since your last WA2 upload. Considering how much you seem to love the whole series, I'd imagine you'd go more all in on it. ^^

Wild Arms 2 is my all time favorite in this series. But 1 and 5 are close runner ups. I feel this series could have so much potential for new entries...

My best friend was super into the original Wild Arms, but I never really got into it. Now Wild Arms 2 and 5 however, I've put a lot of time into. I think the music is a big part of it too.

I have to thank you very much: YOU are the one that introduced me to this series. I then played the first two games and they have been some of the absolute best JRPGs I've ever played, with part 2 currently being my favorite of the series (I will definitely try out the other parts soon). They really have something unique about them that you won't find on other JRPGs. I especially love the Western setting of the games. It's something completely different compared to that 0815 fantasy setting you have in pretty much every other JRPGs.

Oh how I love this one. The sense of wonder as it all begins, like setting out on a journey you know will be amazing. Truly a different time that was.

YOu made me pick up wildARMS 1 and I have not regret it. We got a Play station classic partly because it had WildARMS. I'm getting close to the final boss and it's been great. The music makes it even better. (Also my little brother used to watch me play when he was like 2 and when Rudy was discovered to be a Robot he was shocked and upset no one else in our family found that as important as he did)

Although for me, I think 3 beats 2 overall, but 2 is right up there among the greats. The last battle, the music and all the characters sending up their prayers is really amazing. And the ending song with all the pictures was really touching. I'm so glad I have these games and have played them many times.

its a great game sadly kind of hampered by some vague direction on where to go, but the plot and characters themselves are great
