I'm not too sure what is happening with the Grandia I & II Switch remakes as the publishers have been quite silent, but surely it will be releasing this year. It's always nice to see this series reach new markets and hopefully the sales are good enough to at least bring back any conversation of a Grandia IV. Still one of the best battle systems in an RPG, maybe even my favorite.

I completely agree. I'm still drawing artwork of the casts of both the games in preparation for the remasters. And my hope is that an action like that will encourage Game Arts that there are indeed fans of this series who want to see these games make their glorious return. And even though the original creator of these games has passed on, I still certainly wouldn't say no to a Grandia IV.

I’m just really excited to play through Grandia 1! I used to watch my brother play it and the music and visuals bring a huge wave of nostalgia to me! Especially the main character being the same name as my brother really made me feel like I was watching my brother in the game - as cheesy as that is lol.

I just more recently played through the first game on my PS3, and wow I totally forgot how must I loved this series! Strange thing is, I don't even know anyone that's even heard of or played this series, and all my friends have been gaming since the Sega Saturn days.

@BelowAbsoluteZero They most definitely are. Some of them have some pretty obscure titles, like Thousand Arms and Super Ninja Boy.

Grandia 2's soundtrack was excellent, my favourite track is 'the final battle' :)

Noriyuki Iwadare is really awesome. I'm glad he's behind the Langrisser remake soundtrack.

Grandia 2 is a satisfying game. Nothing it does is especially original, but it's all handled well. From the characters and narrative to the areas and level up system. One of my favorite RPGs.
