This is one of those series I never actually got to play, but always wanted to. As a big fan of Hideki Kamiya, I feel like I'm missing out by not trying the VJ series. I'd love to get remasters of both games on the Switch, but I don't see that happening.

I'm pretty sure I never understood the first game enough because I never beat it. I got stuck at a lion boss. But it was very fun, anyway.

I've got all three on the GameCube but I just couldn't get into it, maybe someday I'll actually play through all of them.

Unfortunately, the games didn't sell well so I doubt there'll be a remaster.

I own all the Viewtiful Joe games and would love to see a sequel or at least a remaster of the first two games.

Aah I briefly played the first one and just remembered that I beat the one for the DS! Loved this track. And I miss my gamecube. I played a lot with Joe in Wii's Tatsunoko vs Capcpm too!

If there's one series I've been wanting a new game in, it's Viewtiful Joe. The first and second games even go so far as to mention a VJ3, but it's been 14-ish years, so it seems unlikely we'll ever get it. It's a real shame too, because as a big fan of lots of Capcom's IPs, the original Viewtiful Joe is my favorite of them all. I definitely recommend them for anyone who wants a stylish beat-em-up/platformer with that Kamiya charm.

Is Dante naturally there or is it some sly reference to "featuring Dante from the Devil May Cry Series"? I know he was in the first game in an exclusive episode to PS2 in the first game, but I had/have no knowledge of him being in the 2nd also

That artwork is from Red Hot Rumble, iirc. He's a playable character in the PSP version. And I think he's also in the first game, but I can't remember.
