I recently came back to this game and have been listening to the soundtrack nearly non-stop in my head and on devices for hours of end. You are so right. I need to look into Disasterpeace's other stuff.

The EAST part of the soundtrack has got to be my favourite in this game, even though Disasterpeace did a great job on the whole damn thing. It's so diverse - calming, haunting, terrifying... Beautiful area as well.

Since you obviously like atmospheric music check out the track "Drifting through the Clouds" from a game called Violett released in 2013. I'm pretty sure you will like it. ;)

Disasterpeace is aptly named, as he can go from serene and beautiful OST tracks like this to nightmarish hellfuel like the It Follows theme in the blink of an eye. Truly skilled

Disasterpeace is a blessing upon this earth and I can’t wait for anything and everything he creates going forward. Under the Silver Lake needs to come out already so we can listen to that dang score.

This has a very unique sound to it, reminds me a bit of the Sega Genesis soundfont, mixed with very ambient and calm instruments. It’s really nice!

God this game is good. It was also my Game of the Year, so I had to double dip for the Switch version!

I was talking about the importance of atmosphere and music in the FFVI upload and it perfectly applies to Hyper Light Drifter, it's what made it stand out as my favorite game of 2016. Of course, the top notch gameplay played a role as well. I rarely double dip on games, but I just had to buy the Switch version and the pixel graphics look amazing in your hands. Disasterpeace is a genius as far as I'm concerned. This theme is not so much about the melody, it's how he successfully creates an organic mood with synthetic instruments.

Wasn't your GOTY 2017 Hollow Knight? Correct me if I'm wrong of course! This song is definitely making me interested in the game though!!
