If you haven't played it yet: This "demo" is a full, independent game, about as big as it's predescessor! You don't even need to play undertale to get the story. SO GO PLAY IT! :D

In terms of melancholic atmosphere, the double bass, and just the... *feel* of it, it's kind of like Toby's "Moonsetter". Guess I have a favorite now.

It is! The symbol is called a "Delta Rune" This is where the game got it's name from.

It annoyed me that the installation process seemed so shady, but it seems to be legit and the game is fun so far. I'm looking forward to see how it ends up, and how it may stand up to it's predecessor.

@Dekuwarrior Presuming it has the standard 4 chapters, a single run will be more than twice the length of an UNDERTALE run. And assuming it has as many runs as UNDERTALE... That's a lotta content

What did y'all think of the battle system? I like the inclusion of Double and Triple Acts. Giving the actions proper animations adds a whole dimension of polish that I feel was missing from the original.

@Louis Claudel I'm not the original commenter, but for me personally, the absolute tyranny of the fandom back when the game was most popular and the horror stories I heard of how they treated people was enough to turn me away from the game completely. It's a shame, the game looks really good, and the music is great, but I have negative desire to play it.

@DScribbleF aaah yes i see. I totally understand. As you can see from my avatar i'm an "undertale-fag", lol.... Even tho i never really liked the community of the game. As you said, lots of cringy weird kids doing weird stuff. And yeah, overall the fanbase is pretty atrocious. This is one of the reason why i personnaly don't identify myself as "part" of that fanbase, even tho I adore the game. I can understand your feelings, when people overhype something it always become annoying after a certain time. But the most important thing in the end is the "game". Not the fans, not the community, just the "game" itself. Which is still one hell of an experience ! And as you said, you seem to feel like the game and the musics are great (and they really are haha), but what stops you is the opinion you have from it because of the community.... So if i can "reassure" you in any way (not sure this is the correct word for that lol), i'll just say that, don't worry, the game is not what the fans make it look like. It's hard to articulate, but what i simply mean, is that, if you ever feel like playing it one day, you'll be happy to notice that it doesn't affiliate with all the cringy weird stuff you saw from the fans, it's just..... a very good game. And that's it x) cringy fan or not. hope one day, you can give it shot and appreciate its worth for what it is o/ peace

If you're not stuck at work, you can play the start of what seems to be the sequel to Undertale, for free. As a big fan of Undertale, this is exciting! Toby Fox dropped the link in the description. As with Undertale, I do not recommend reading anything on it until you play it yourself. This track instantly reminds me of something Yoko Shimomura would compose (I especially get Radiant Historia vibes).

I debated uploading this for that exact reason, but seeing that this was already making the news everywhere, I thought I would just update some people who were not aware this even existed. And more importantly, Toby knew exactly what he was doing by asking not to talk about this game for 24 hours.

This reminds me of some of Sugyiama's favourite chord progressions, backed by Yoko's rithmic patterns. All in all, very enjoyable.

I had the exact same thought! It definitely felt like a Yoko Shimomura piece! Like a combo of a map/world bgm from Kingdom Hearts and Legend of Mana for me!
