Suikoden 2 was a fantastic game, but I still dig 3 more. Maybe because there was no mute hero? This definitely had better music though.

I'd argue that it sounds more like something out of Pokemon Ranger.

only just played the suikoden series this year. 2 is definitely the best. 3 is the worst (yes, worse than 4). never really got as good once they went 3D.

i'm glad how you handled the logo in the end, only coming through for the last 10 seconds or so and not being in an area that it'd obstruct detail

Playlist #12 has been created! One of the greatest RPGs ever made. Certainly near the top in terms of story and characters (villains included). There's still really nothing quite like the Suikoden series, but hey it's another one in the list of series that Konami decided to forget. A real shame.

I love this series, and especially this game in this series. But what really is special for the first two games, especially, is the music, I think. The composer really worked her heart out and put everything into it. (Actually ... she worked so hard she burnt herself out, which is why we haven't seen anything else from her ^^;;; )

I don't remember seeing her name in the credits, but it's possible. She also contributed to a collaboration album between her and Mitsuda (Chrono series, etc.) after this, but I can't remember anything else.
