This game's Japanese soundtrack is much better, but there are a few tracks from the US version that are catchy, especially this one with the vocals. Hits that cheesy early 90s vibe pretty well. La la oooooh.

Not A Cat Music is a very subjective, or opinionated matter. I like the JP OST better, but there's no denying that there are songs that were better in the U.S. version. Like wacky workbench us.

I do like the Japanese version better but I feel as if people overlook the US version's, which annoys me to no end.

I get people wanna say the Japanese soundtrack is better because it's more upbeat and catchy but the US soundtrack is just so underrated. The US soundtrack is atmospheric and dreamy and sometimes it works better for certain levels. Stardust Speedway Present JP version gets a lot of praise but I believe that the Present US version hits the feel of that level so much better. For me, I see both soundtracks as equals and I believe this pointless separation of the two is very close-minded.

Strange (isn't it?) - if I had to guess based on a sample of previous entries on this list, I would have pegged you as preferring the U.S. soundtrack overall, due to it's mood that another poster above described as "atmospheric and dreamy". I tend to prefer it on the whole for that reason.

Looooving the vocals in this one. One of those rare Sonic vocal tracks that doesn't go too far with the cheesy lyrics.

I hope Sonic Mania Plus let's you switch to remixes of the US versions of the SCD tracks for people who prefer them over the original. (I believe the mobile version lets you do that.)

The composer for the US soundtrack was Spencer Nilsen. I prefer the US soundtrack because, for me, it inspired a love for New Jack Swing (well, that, and live-action Nickelodeon shows). 4:25 and I'm always happy to hear 808 cowbells.

This song is amazing! I also love the ambient JP version, but this song is great for different reasons.
