I hope you all had some great Holidays with family and friends! These past 2 weeks were really pleasant and I took quite some time off to be lazy and play video games. Oh and as always, I ate too much. I have not played this game yet, but I will just for its soundtrack alone as it's one of my favorites of the year. At this point, I'm not sure if being associated to a bad movie hurt its sales or if it actually helped, because of how out of left field this is. Looking at reviews, it seems to be a pretty solid metroidvania.
It has no right being as good as it is. Then again, WayForward are the people behind so this being good is to be expected.
Good game, better soundtrack. A solid 7/10 metroidvania for sure.
Monomer is quite the artist, and I was surprised and delighted to see he was involved with this. He makes one heckuva good soundscape.
I thought the movie was not that bad personally.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh I seriously love this jam, soothing but at the same time it gets you pumped for adventure ,danger, destroying the undead and Mummy hunting!!!!!!!!

Damn, this track is killer. I might check out the game. Have you gotten around to playing The Last Guardian btw? The OST for it is still in my Top 3 for 2016/2017.

the youtube recommendation algorithm is frightening. how it was able to target this song because of a mention on giantbomb due to several people being put into similarity buckets.

A true surprise that is at both times nostalgic and engaging; this is a really good game and it is worth the price. The music, the controls, the gameplay, I had a blast when I played it so go for it, get it if you can because it is pretty damn fun.
Still no Dark Souls 3 or Bloodborne music......

I started the year back at videogames! No expensive consoles Buuuut got Ace Attorney and Layton games for Android plus the offer on Monument Valley! Also what is a demaster. Happy 2018 guys! Thank you Supra!
It has no inherent meaning, but I believe it's use was to define its regression of today's 3D graphics to 2D pixel graphics. It's a great looking game and I am not belittling its aesthetic. I just believe it was used to describe itself.
