I'd love to get a sequel to this game, but I know that will never happen. There really isn't anything else quite like it. It gave me vibes of a Tales game mixed with Shenmue thanks to the 24 hours system and NPCs having their own schedules. Great humor as well, and kicking everything could get quite... addicting.
It's a shame how underrated this game is. I don't regret a little beating the game 3 times to get all the companions.
I absolutely loved this game, but everyone I've mentioned it too had no idea what I was talking about. It really is a great and underrated game.

Not completely unrelated. A chunk of the Radiant Historia team came from this game. It was always my understanding that it's why the name was chosen.
DoctorPsyduck that's kind of weird. Of all the names they could've chosen, why choose one that's almost exactly the same?
totlyepic that makes sense. But the games themselves aren't that similar? I haven't played Radiata stories or Radiant Historia, so I wouldn't know.
The gameplay is very different
I really waned a prequel focusing on Elwen and Alfred since we never got to learn much about them. If they did a sequel though, I'd love for them to not really have a canon ending from the first game, maybe giving us two alternate dimensions based upon the two routes and forcing us to pick between one of the dimensions while the other possibly gets destroyed. What I'd really love though is for them to remake this on 3ds. The graphics would pop out so beautifully.
I only played it for a few hours but i thought it was pretty similar to star ocean, at least the combat.
I'm not aiming high, just a PS4 release would be nice, but that's not going to happen is it? And yes, the kicking is very addicting.

This game was a lot of fun, but I felt the writing fell pretty flat once the storyline split happened... it was a bit disappointing.
It's probably the opposite for most people, but I will always see the title of this game and think Radiant Historia
It's hard to think of another game like this one, it was a good experience. Maybe we will see a sequel or spinoff at some time?
One of my favourites Rpgs of all time. I played it when I was the same age as Jack, and loved his character. The comedy, the music, the vast character cast. Even visually it's beautiful.

The protagonist can do the Belmont's "power walk" if you hold the stick just right.
I'm stoked there are so many people who think this game is massively underrated. The mix of humor and darkness is on point in this game. Even the menu choices are amazing: Save? -Yes -Just kidding!
Ah, this really sounds like something you'd hear in a Falcom game. I really miss Radiata Stories. It's been far too long.

Awesome game! I picked it up on a whim years ago while looking for new PS2 games to play, and saw that it was developed by Tri-Ace, so I had to get it. Definitely a unique game. Odd that Iwadare did the music though, considering it was published by Square Enix.
Man this game is just one of the many forgotten gems on the system at the end. Really remember the sound track of this game and really being fond of it.

This game is one of the best and definitely a series that should be revisited! In terms of underrated games I feel like Radiata Stories is sorely forgotten. If you have the capability go and find it and play it!
