Well they were partly right in the Warning label on the box, this game did provide me with shock, disbelief and confusion.. at how hard it was. I rented this game many times and never got really far, but I do remember some of the dreamy music being memorable. One of my first uploads in this list comes from this game!

This game was legendary in how bullshit it was, and it didn't even have the excuse of being released on the NES. Unfortunately I don't have the old Nintendo Power that showed strategies for 7th Saga anymore.
This game's illusion of choice is what infuriated me the most. You got to pick your dude at the start but if you got paired against the robot fellow, you weren't beating the game.
Apparently, it wasn't so hard originally. It was just made more difficult for the US release. Not sure why they considered that a good idea.
I was wondering if you were ever going to upload another song from this game. Mostly because the only song you ever uploaded from it was back in the two digits. I was also wondering if you'd upload another Chaos Legion song.

7th saga is not even remotely difficult.... you wanna play a difficult game, play Wizardry 4. I beat that game when I was 6 years old, after playing it every day after school for a year, and it still remains my biggest video game achievement in my entire life, 27 years later.
Myro Kratios Higher difficulty makes the game last longer and encourages more rentals. Not necessarily a bad idea anyway since the original is a bit easy (there is a translated japanese rom online for those curious), but the changes were too extreme. Leveling up and getting a single HP point just pisses you off.
A rare case where the Japanese version was easier than the American version. From what i read, they made a mistake concerning the leveling of the other characters. The higher level you became, the more powerful the others got at an accelerating pace that you literally could not match. Masters of the game know that if they get to a certain point of the game and are matched up with a certain other character, the game was almost literally impossible to beat.
this was easily one of the hardest games on the snes for rpgs but that is what made you want to keep playing. I always thought the AI characters were competing against you the entire game like a race, but really its just scripted out

I search for the name of this game's name for years because the OST was so amazing. I finally found the name last year. By far best unknown gem I heard.

Man, I love the music in this game so dang much. SO many of Enix's SNES games had killer under-appreciated soundtracks.
Learned about this game from a good friend in college we ended up playing our own campaigns together and ended up with some crazy stories and internal jokes. Anytime I see this game featured somewhere I always get excited. Good choice.

Hard to hear this song for very long on the overworld, as the encounters are numerous and unforgiving! What a difficult game... Combined with the fact that the other "heroes" on the journey get max stats on every level up, and level up when you do, this game can quickly become very frustrating if you have made enemies with too many!
Such a bullshit game, haha.
This sounds like the kind of music that pleasant the first time you hear it but makes you want to tear your ears out when you have to hear it for a 1000th time because you got another game over.
