There are so many great games coming out lately that I forgot Persona 5 was also shortly on its way. I wouldn't be surprised if this ends up being one of the highest rated JRPGs of all time with the growing popularity of this series after 3 and 4, but also because it simply looks awesome. These games ooze so much style and Meguro's music certainly helps. I'm excited!
I feel like the mainstream success would have been higher if it wasn't delayed so much, but yeah I'm definitely getting it. I never cared about the mainstream anyways. I've beat them all (yes that includes Persona 1 and 2 (Innocent Sin/Eternal Punishment). Great times. 1 is flawed but still has good in it, 2 is great.
It's still incredibly niche, even in it's home country. No Atlus game in Japan has ever sold above 550,000 copies.
Hmm really? I never knew the numbers it did in Japan. I just never thought to look them up.
But it's not just recently. Persona 5 is the highest selling Atlus game of the entirety of their existence in Japan with 550,000 being that number. A big hit can still hit 1 to 2 million over there.
1.5 million shipped, not sold. The total sold is probably actually 1 to 1.2 million.
If this can send message to ATLUS for european langage version. It would be very nice.

I love this game. Recently completed new game+ and it was a great reminder of how good the music is. Haven't got P5R yet but I can't wait to play it!
When I reached Futuba's palace it hit so differently for me I didn't care about providing to society the worth of the phantom theives, justice, honor, nothing of the sort I just wanted to save her life and end her suffering I'm sure I'm not the only one who felt that way. Beating this palace and seeing Futuba awaken her true self is one of the most satisfying parts of this game. Not to mention I was an emotional wreck the whole way through lol 😂.

Fantastic Game all the way through... a little disappointed with the ending overall but the music, art style, and battle system kept me occupied well over 120 hours. :D

I started P4 on the ps2 back in the day but didn't get far. Fast forward to now, completed P5 couple days ago and is easily my game of the year. I wanna go back and play P4 but I'm hesitant because I don't think it will come anywhere near this.
Persona 3 is my favorite. I know that whole I can't control my party can obviously provide some strife but just Persona 3 really did it for me. It was the first Atlus game I played that I truly understood. I played Persona 1 a long time ago and I thought it was unique but had no idea really what I was doing. I think Persona 1 is flawed but fun but that is a whole 'nother story.

I feel like this game has many songs that are better than this one actually, would be nice to see them in the playlists. Keeper of lust, Willpower and With the stars and us are the ones.

The game is really good and you can perceive how the team learned and implemented new cool stuff to the game mechanics. While at the same time going back to its origins where you can feel some caveats from Persona 1 and 2 as well. Lastly, its nice to be finally playing a game that truly feels polished this last generation, with no need to update fix and things of the sort. :)

Ive been streaming the Japan version of this game. And man, is this song much more heavy when you listen to it in its context. As a long time persona fan, this game has taken the cake for my favorite one to date!

I'm not sure if this will hit the same popularity as P4 only because that one seemed to have the same effect for the Shin Megami series that say FFVII had for Final Fantasy but if this one can spike that than I'm all for it as the Shin Megami Tensei series is vastly underrated. And the last game of theirs didn't do super hot(you can say Tokyo Mirage Sessions was it's own thing all you want, playing the game it's basically Shin Megami Tensei, closest to Persona but some of the characters have Fire Emblem names).
I preordered this after beating tales of berseria because I need to recover from being ripped to shreds 1000 times
Tales of Beseria is excellent, I'm not really big on the Tales series having only played two in the entire series, but it just looked brooding and interesting so I had to get that one. I love it.
I think it's arguably the best in the series but then the symphonia and vesperia fanboys tear me a new one
I never owned a 360 so unfortunately Vesperia was a game I never got to check out myself. I watched some of an LP and I was really liking it. For me, I'd say Beseria is the best Tales games I've played. The only two games I played were Phantasia and Abyss. Abyss was a slow grower on me, but I liked it. I mostly liked Phantasia for nostalgia-ish purposes, but I really enjoyed playing the PlayStation version with a translation patch.
After playing P4G this past year, this is my most anticipated game of 2017. FF15, Nier, and Zelda will all be shelved for this.

Yes!!! One of my favourite tracks. The guitar and the bass are just to good in this one. Great pick Supra and i would bet everything i have on a 92+ score for P5. Its gonna happen.
I am in love with this theme. Meguro always impresses with great music and this song is no exception. Very jazzy with a great bassline.
