The soundtrack of the first Binding of Isaac always reminded me of the ruins from Phantasy Star Online. They both gives you this "all hope is lost" feel.
At first this song totally reminded me of Oblivion. Sort of like Deep Waters and Ancient Sorrow
This may be an odd entry, but it's a fantastic one.
The soundtrack from the old Isaac (pre-Rebirth) is imho still the best. Not saying the newer soundtrack is bad, actualy the opposite is true. But the old one is still unbeaten. And this is one of my favourite pieces, so calming and satisfying after beating a boss :) I even made RB and AB using the old level musics (copying them in resources-Folder). Unfortunately it doesn't work any longer in AB+ :(
Have you heard the soundtrack to the (phenomenal) mod "Antibirth"? It's absolutely amazing; even better than Rebirth

Back when I played Binding of Isaac Wrath of The Lamb, this was in the game. The music was redone in Rebirth
i guess they got rid of it in afterbirth and afterbirth+ which sucks
Yeah, Danny B. got a bug up his butt and stopped making music for Edmund. He also pulled the soundtrack for Super Meat Boy when it got remade for PS(3 or 4? I forget which.) The new one for SMB sucks. BoI:A, on the other hand, has a great soundtrack, just in a different way.

Get a good pair of headphones, close your eyes and listen. I always zone out to it. This is a very unusual ambient entry in the list but you know what? It stuck with me and I enjoy it, so here it is. When I played Undertale and decided to lay on the ground and feel like garbage with Napstablook (this must sound weird for anyone who didn't play the game), I got reminded of this Isaac theme and loved it for the same reasons.

I've scoured this list of TBoI uploads, since my friend got me into the game recently. After playing Afterbirth, I'm struck by the thematic differences in the music of the game, but not in a bad way. This song really captures the feeling of just breathing after whatever fight you just came from, kinda breathless and pondering what waits on the floor below. Thanks for uploading this : )
