My first game was Donkey Kong Country and I think it has greatly influenced me to this day. I think it shaped my appreciation for both more methodical platformers and of course excellent and atmospheric video game soundtracks! On an aside, the second game I ever played was Uniracers on SNES, and I would mark out so hard if you ever put its music on your playlist. It had some really great (if repetitive) heavy rock.
I've now made my way through the first 200. I probably prefer the first 100 over the second 100, but this list has still been a blast.
My first game was the Avatar the last airbender Plug and Play. My first console game was rock band. (Drum Gang) And my first PC game was Roblox/Team fortress 2. I can't remember what came first.

I know you can download an Emulator and a Rom for the game. But be aware that websites with Roms often have adware, so be sure to have anti-virus software, like MalwareBytes.
Mine was Street Fighter EX Plus Alpha, it's the reason why I love fighting games so much til this day and adore video game music! So many hrs spent on it, button mashing and all.
My first one was Mario Bros. on the NES I think, at a relative's place who also had kids. After that, Super Mario All-Stars followed and I plowed my game through all the 5 games on it. Lost levels was damn hard though, I think I couldn't finish it back then. Then the other classics like Zelda and Mario Kart followed. Good times!

It's kinda hard to say what the first game I played was, since it was so long ago (I am currently 15 and have a poor memory. XD) Discluding PC, the first game I played was either Metroid Fusion or Super Mario Advance 2: Super Mario World on the GBA. Those were such great times... This game was also the very first game I played EVER. My dad bought a NES with The Legend of Zelda, TMNT 2 Arcade and Blades of Steel at a swap meet in Los Angeles. For about an hour he thought he bought a bum system as we could not get it to work, but after some magic taps and blowing on the cartridge we got them to work, Zelda was the first. I'm not sure what got my dad to buy those games, but I think the fact that LoZ was gold was a key reason lol.
my very first game was SMB my aunt was the one who taught me to play and i have been playing (and beating) games ever since. the legend of zelda series is one of my top 10 game series. i have beaten almost every LOZ game out there that i can get my hands on. im currently on phantom hourglass. then i will get and beat skyward sword.
wha? this is the song that plays in the legend of Zelda on NES each time you enter a dungeon. don't believe me? look up "legend of Zelda, nes, dungeon" and you will see. and i have beaten both oracle of ages and seasons and it is in neither one. in fact a lot of the music from seasons/age's is from links awakening.
this brings me back to my younger days of sitting in the dark on a Saturday night in the glow of the tv controller in hand. i picked up my first controller (the NES controller) at the age of 5 and have been a gamer ever since. and through the years i have some great memories from being a gamer. and will continue to have many more as time goes on. thank you for reminding me of some of the best moments of my life so far.

This theme gets stuck in my head as a reminder on how much the dungeons would piss me off. You know how even one of the greatest games can still make you curse all existence? Beleive it or not; this game did all because of one type of enemy. Those fucking knights!! They can only be killed anywhere but the front; their patterns are too random, and they swarm all over you. In the fifth dungeon you have to kill liek twelve of them to get the flute. Seriously though..I fucking hate those knights!

TMNT 2: The Arcade Game A guy across the street had what probably was the only NES in my hometown and his little brother was in first grade in elementary with me. So when I was at his house, all we did was play the game, except for when it was the big brother's turn, when he would show us how it was done (I never got any further than stage 3 myself). I think I was 4 years old. The second game I played was either SMB3 (it's the second game the brother bought) or Prince of Persia on PC.

But it's like reading novels or watching TV or listening to music - you do it your whole life, and you'll gain a love and appreciation for both the successes and its failures, the highs and lows.. Nearly a decade and a half of gaming history have I seen; may many more decades follow, for me and all fellow gamers, lifelong, or fresh from their first console.

Hehe, this was the first game that I "really" played (duck hunt/super mario don't really count!). I was like 4 and the music also scared the crap out of me, but it was intriguing and awesome nonetheless!

Kinda hard to remember my first, but I know the first time I began getting into the stories and comprendening the games better, if you know what I mean, was Final Fantasy 10. I called it stupid at first but when I tried it it was the most favoritest (word?) game I would ever play and that was many years ago.

Like many tracks on the NES, this is actually a very good track that is too unknown or underrated by many VGM enthusiasts. It was so long ago I can't quite remember, to be honest, but I have early memories of them both (My parents say I was playing games before I could talk XD). Also Zelda on SNES.

This game was actually the first I ever played, and the close second is Super Mario Bros 3. At least, that's what I remember playing when I was 3-4.
