I spent many nights with my brother playing this game. We loved that this game was split screen multi player. And we would always work as a team to beat the computer. It brought us together and I always get nostalgic hearing the memorable soundtrack. It brings me back.
Track 1 is by far one of my most favorite songs from old school gaming. I also like track 3, but I do like the others like this one.

I dont know in other countries, but here in Brazil this games bacame part of a generation. It's common to see cars with great sound walls playing TG themes today.

If you like Barry Leitch's music, I suggest checking out the Gadget Twins soundtrack. The game's decent but the music is pretty awesome.
I loved this game, easily one of my favorite racers on the SNES. Fast paced, vibrant graphics and Barry Leitch's music was rockin', with this theme being the mellowest one. Top Gear Rally on the N64 is the game I played most in this franchise, but this comes close.

Lotus Challenge is basically a better version of this game
Barry Leitch actually released a new album a few months ago that is heavily inspired by Top Gear for a game called Horizon Chase. In fact, I think it has a couple of tracks that are modern remakes of the themes from Top Gear. Highly recommended if you're into his work :).
