I love that Portrait of Ruin's soundtrack sounds so much different off of the DS speakers. It's like listening to a new soundtrack all over again. Let's hope Igavania turns out well, because there aren't many more people I know quite so bummed about Konami pulling the crap they have in the last year. It's like a Capcom-tier "piss off" in the heart.
Good, but the Harmony of Despair version of this Song is better.

how convenient, I just beat this game yesterday. It's fun but man I wish it stuck with the old art style than this anime style it kinda pulled me out of the gothic horror feel of the castle with the change.
Nah the artwork fits well with this beloved game

Out of the three DS igavania games, I think Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia is my favorite. When it comes to soundtrack however, I think I prefer Portrait of Ruin. Excellent choice SupraDarky. :)

I actually have infuriating memories of this game. For whatever reason, sometimes when I was walking from room to room in the Nation of Fools the game would freeze completely save for the music. And save points on that area were not well distributed sadly. I have no clue if that ever happened to anyone else. That aside, I really like this game. The tag mechanic was interesting and the areas varied a lot.
The original had some freezing glitches, most frequently when both partners were trying to use abilities, or when using Charlotte and attempting to quick-summon Jonathan for a throw. It's been that way since launch, unfortunately; make sure you save frequently, more so than any other CV.
It's good hearing this track without "JONATHAN! CHARLOTTE! JONATHAN!" getting screamed at me every few minutes.
Wow. Definitely sounds like something that would be near the end of the game. Love it. Also reminds me that I need to play these IgaVania games..
Although my favourite Casltevania on DS is OoE n, PoR was a great game, with inovations, memorable boss fights, levels and gameplay. The manga esthetic inherited from DoS was the only flaw, and I'm glad they adopted a more adult design in OoE

One of the best games I've played, very enjoyable gameplay and has an awesome story and dialogues, especially between the two protagonists. A great Igavania title. Can't wait for Bloodstained! (already backed/pre-ordered)

I loved this game, it was cool to play as 2 characters a la Ice Climbers =P. I hope Bloodstained is at least this good, it looks so =D
Very underrated game. A tad on the easy side, but just plain good fun and very replayable.

Been watching a lot of Jojos Bizarre Adventure and the there is a passage in [The End of the World] that sounds so much like Castlevania. A bit like this song too, yet i haven't found the exact Castlevania song that it reminds me of.
+Rhodan Authors from End of the world said that they were really inspired by clock towers theme from Castlevania. You can see those similarities with all those kogs and pendulums

8 years since the last Igavania, I definitely have an itch for more. With the series mostly dead thanks to Konami's amazing (mis)management, I can only thank programs like Kickstarter for existing and giving us the chance to play games like Bloodstained, Iga's next project.
